A very efficient restaurant with fast service. The food was delicious and there was a wide selection of pasta, pizza and salad including options for vegetarians. A meal here costs about €22 for a main, non-alcoholic drink and dessert. The portion sizes were average. The staff were friendly but they didn't wait for the whole group to finish their meals/dessert before cleaning the table. This did make us feel pressured to eat faster and is the reason this restaurant isn't 5 stars in my opinion.
The nice meal experience spoiled by €2.95 for a bit of toasted bread. The starter was great, bit stronger in taste ordered bread to soothe the taste. Salmon - nothing special pizzas looked great, should have tried them. Staff great.
Great place and reasonable price. We came here because we weren't that hungry but we had to have dinner and it turned out really nice. To be honest I did not expect much from it so we were pleasantly surprised. My pizza tasted really good and it came with a little bowl of parmesan which I could sprinkle on top my pizza if I wanted too and also with a bottle of garlic oil and chili oil. You won't see that in the Netherlands! My mother had spaghetti carbonara and from the four days we were in Dublin, this is where she thought the food tasted the best! Also the staff was very friendly and nice, we had a great time.
So I had the unfortunate experience of visiting this establishment recently. I've heard of the 'French connection' of course but never the 'Italian connection'. I was rushing around and found myself on Talbot Street, not my ideal location but was hungry and needed to fill a hole in my tummy. I see this place and it's decadence presentation and felt impressed with the Roman paintings and quaint layout inside. I asked the lady who greeted shall I take a seat to which she replied yes sir. I sit down and scroll through the menu. The girl who came down to my table was quite friendly and accommodating when I wished to add ingredients to my omelet. I ordered the ham, cheese and onion omelet with an Americano. When the omelet arrived I was disgusted. The cheese was melted over the surface and formed slimy / oily appearance . As I began to cut up the dish with my cutlery it got worse and was almost uneatable. I was provided toast on the side so my only option was to create a kind of sandwich with the ham as eating the omelet on its own would have physically made me vomit. I can safely say this was the worst omelet I have ever been presented with. I should have known better than to stop and eat in an establishment on Talbot Street. Never visit this place, or be prepared to pay for cheap tacky rubbish.
We came asked for table for 5, and waiter told us to wait for 10... We were asked than 3 more times to wait for 10 what resulted in quite a wait. When we were finally seated we waited long for orders to be taken. Risotto and pasta was unsalted, pizza a bit wet, Greek salad quite small with just sample of feta. Bruscetta was good maybe rwe just had bad luck but it is not worth the visit
Friendly staff, table next to us complained about too much garlic but waitress said it is normal and brushed off the feedback, then we got our meals and oh boy the garlic !! If you love tons of garlic in your meal to the point it is burning your mouth come here.
Lovely for something to eat after a days shopping. Good value. Popular with tourists to my beautiful city. Nice traditional Italian restaurant.
Delicious food and excellent services. Price affordable
I had Lasagne and it was very delicious! Service is really friendly. Would recommend :
For fifteen years I ate here once or twice weekly. Never again. Granted it was busy but to be seated and then treated as the invisible woman for twenty minutes without being offered so much as a glass of water while staff stood staring out the window. I left without ordering and when I phoned later I got excuses instead of an apology. A couple of years later I went in around 9.20pm and after getting my meal was told not to expect coffee as they were switching off the machine. I was hurt by the shabby treatment after years of loyalty and would not recommend this place to a dog
