Nice small park/garden. Ideal for squirrels spotting and feeding. The terrace is well maintained and also hosts within "Spontaneous City", which is a little complex of especially designed bird and insects' houses on a big tree, help their preservation. Dog-friendliness: Although it's a relatively small space, you can walk and play with your dog here.
Small but really nicely maintained, probably one of the most well maintained parks in Islington. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees including crabapples
Great garden. I was visiting here often when I was living close by.
Narrow linear strip developed over the historic course of the New River ably landscaped with a footpath, benches, a variety of mature trees, desultory shrubs and plants. Pleasant and peaceful but lately succumbing to lassitude possibly from cursory intervention though still reasonably maintained.
A long thin park with plenty of squirrels and pigeons. I often take a walk there with my daughter just to enjoy the nature. It also seems to be a spot popular for both kids and traffic wardens/enforcement officers to sit and smoke weed all day. Dog-friendliness: You can walk dogs off lead, but need to put a lead on if asked. Picnic area: Plenty of benches and a flat grass plane that can be used to picnic on.
What a lovely surprise to find when walking from the canal. The caretakers should be commended for such a lush garden.
Quiet walk through garden.
It's a very peaceful garden. Before the pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns it was very well kept. Since then however the main grass area at the front of the garden is patchy and muddy. But it's not a true reflection of how people care for it. As you walk further down there is a comforting quiet path with benches available. Suitable for a quiet walk or to even take your kids for a runaround.
A brilliant park to relax and meditate in. Walking past the fountain, the breeze of fresh air absolutely refreshed me and it was great! Duncan Terrace Gardens was somewhat clean. A very natural, picturesque atmosphere as the park is surrounded with trees. However, whilst I admire nature, there are too many pigeons flying around! There are plenty of benches to sit on and all are well laid out. I would strongly recommend here for small picnics. There are plenty of bins to around the place. The park is in a brilliant location just off City Road and pretty much opposite City and Islington Sixth Form College. As soon as you exit the park, the Angel Islington/City Road bus stop will be right in front of you. Overall, I strongly recommend that you visit here!
Great place to have a coffee and biscuit in the morning, a "Fresh Baked Jacket Potato" and soup for lunch, or a tea and scone in the afternoon. And relish on the "Specials". Not only "good stuff" to eat, but just fantastic setting: cosy, pleasant, and home-like reassuring. And the most pleasant service with a smile.
