I bought a R129 500SL, which was absolutely gorgeous, surprisingly inexpensive and reliable.  The car was perfectly described, exceptionally prepared and a few niggly issues were sorted before delivery.  He is the go to guy for classics Merc's of this vintage with great stock and knowledge at least from my own personal experience. Now if only I could afford a G500...

I paid a premium price for a car advertised as being "exceptionally well cared for and is showing very little wear anywhere". "Everything on the car works as it should and it drives impeccably well".

However, the car purchased from Charles Ironside Ltd failed to meet with my reasonable expectations  based on the description and photos provided on the dealer's website. It had a long list of faults/issues that required rectifying.

After much arduous communications, between us, the dealer reluctantly, and without good grace, accepted return of the car for a full refund. Though I was still £200 out of pocket, with much time wasted.

I have to agree with Simon I also bought a car from Ironside and have the very same problems, I had to engage a solicitor to obtain payment for work, never ever will I buy from this guy again.
