Friendly staff and after the refurbishment the interior of the station is a pleasant place to sit. Good selection of food and drink from the concessions inside the station. Easy to get to from the center of town and some great rail links to London and Norwich.

Good station and good for making journeys to big destinations in East Anglia, such as: Lowestoft, Cambridge, Felixstowe, Peterborough, Norwich, Ely, Stratford & London Liverpool Street, and the occasional service to Harwich International. A good but smaller range of shops from what there used to be. Easy to use, and accesible. Limited further transport to central Ipswich and other smaller outskirts of town. Nice new refurbished station. Only displays 4 trains on the departure board, but if possible, use something else to find out what platform your train leaves from. Brilliant station with good connections to: Lowerstoft, Felixstowe, Cambridge, Peterborough, Bury St Edmunds, Ely, Norwich, Harwich, Colchester and London. It is a good station that has had a recent upgrade with a lot of cafes. Also there is a car park next to the station and local bus services which serve ipswich. This station is on and is operated by greater anglia

last night you had an incendent on the railway near bury st edmunds as this was the last train home to bury st edmunds .the train was cancelled . but thanks to the station Manager and Staff . about 40 ipswich town fotball supporters ,you agrranged with in a very fast time. some local taxis to take us home back to bury st edmunds we wish to thank ipwsich STATION STAFF for a job WELL DONE mr and mrs v hill

A typical 19th century train station, with 4 platforms. There are multiple lines serving the station, with Lowestoft, Felixstowe, and Ely lines being 3 of the most popular. The help desk employees were very sweet, and the station is rather clean, which is always a good thing.
