Inverkeithing Hope Street Cemetery

"Originally part of the Witches Knowe, this area was utilized by the Church of Scotland for burning troublesome women under the false accusation of witchcraft. It is an historical cemetery at the top of the knowe. At the base, it is reserved for those of miltary service. The charred remains of 53 innocent local women have lain upon this hallowed ground for 370 years without any marker."
