A small cemetery located in South West Edinburgh. It is the final resting place of Robert Louis Stevenson's nanny, Alison Cunningham and Nobel Prize Winner, Edward Appleton. Like many of Edinburgh's Cemeteries, it's not kept terribly well kept, but it's a nice place to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet if the weather is nice. It is an official Commonwealth War Grave Cemetery.
It's a cemetery, where the dead live. It's pretty big with lots of tombstones. Walled off from the road, there's a couple of entrances. Unless you have a relative buried there, you're probably not going to visit often. It's quiet and peaceful though, next to Morningside Park.
Good park for children as it has a separate play area. There is also a large grassy area where local dogs play fetch and people bask in the sun when it exists. Also has a basket ball court as well as a tennis court.
Always a fun place for kids, a very sociable place for adults to meet new people and an exceptional place to exercise and to socialise your dogs. There are a lovely welcoming bunch of people who take their dogs there every night at 7pm and the dogs meet both their existing pals and new pals. I've socialised several pups here and the dogs are always so friendly and gentle. The park is beautiful too, every year they win the green parks award.
Fantastic peaceful place.
Pretty small in order to be called as an 'actual' Park. One way in and out fenced from both sides. Has few benches within. Perfect for dog walking!
Park is good for smaller children, good grassy areas, trees and room for football & tennis. Big flaw is total lack of plastic or astroturf in all the play areas. Bring your big elastoplast !!!!
Chilled out playpark in leafy Morningside suburbs. No unruly adolescents or vandalism. Local so very middle-class but all good. Has one fenced concrete tennis, one concrete football / basketball court, swings and other play items. Years ago the playpark area was a bowling green with a pavilion.
A good size family park with a park suitable for toddler's and older among with a basketball court and tennis court
It's a nice small park with an OK playground and basketball courts. Not good for a long walk.
