We arrrived without a booking and it was quite busy, we were seated promptly after the hostess checked availability. Nice place to get some lunch, good burgers. Nachos were very enjoyable! Was a bit hot, the AC needed to be on really.
Made a last minute booking for a late Sunday lunch. We sat in the garden as it was a very hot day. My 85 year old mother had the fish and chips which she really enjoyed, she liked the thin batter that didn't overwhelm the fish and the tartare sauce, My husband and I had pizzas that were very tasty. The food was good value for money. The staff were very helpful and there was good service. My only reservation was the tables in the garden had no umbrellas so we had to take a very unsteady elderly lady to the back of the garden where the tables were in the shade. We will come again.
We booked a table for Saturday the 1/6/24. We were seated quickly and our waitress Lilly was quick to help with a couple of dietary requirements from our guests. We ordered drinks which arrived very quickly thanks to heather who carried a massive tray to us. The food was of superb quality. After dinner the plates were cleared in a timely manner. Our waitress Lilly then asked us if we wanted dessert, some of us were not sure but Lilly made them sound so delicious we could not resist. Desserts also came out and looked stunning we all enjoyed them. All in all a superb evening
Lovely carvery which I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff there friendly and attentive and I'd definitely return. Only marked the atmosphere down due to infants shouting, screaming and swearing but in no way is that the restaurant's fault.
Carvery was middle side of average - to be fair, Toby or Farmhouse Inns is better and varied at about the same price. Yorkshire puddings are obviously frozen/Aunt Bessie's and veg selection is quite small in comparison no parsnips, broccoli or runner beans. Staff are really pleasant and helpful though and the garden is quite nice.
We always look forward to calling into the Inn by the Sea every time we are in Lee on Solent and we are never disappointed. The roast dinner is cooked superbly and is excellent value for money. All of the staff are always polite and extremely efficient. I'd highly recommend this pub.Food: 5/5
Another fantastic Sunday roast carvery, it's so much better than the other carvery restaurants. The staff are always amazing and so helpful which makes the experience that much nicer. Never had any issues here at all. I would definitely recommend this place for all ages. We have even tried the carvery delivery which was fantastic also. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back! Parking: Enough spaces so no need to worry Kid-friendliness: Bottomless ice cream sundae went down a treat
Great pub in Lee on the Solent and it is by the sea. Had their Christmas roast dinner with a pudding and a drink. Very reasonable £25 for two. The carvery was a help yourself, absolutely delicious. Choice of three meats and about 6 veg, roast and mash potatoes. Yorkshire pud, gravy and sauces. Food is really tasty. For pudding had the apple pie and custard again delicious and a huge bowl filled to the top. Absolutely stuffed Great value for the money. The pub is warm and cozy Great on a cold evening. The staff were very friendly. Definitely going back.
Sophie our server was great and nothing was too much trouble. She looked after us well and was very attentive with her customer service. Thanks SophieFood: 2/5
Not a bad place to eat, the carvery was ok. It's not the best and not the worst I've been to. The restaurant was a bit grotty, to be honest. It definitely needs a clean and a lick of paint. The staff were friendly and the price was fair. Just an average eatery with average food at best. Parking: Parking outside the establishment limited spaces.
