Chef's Delight Cafe & Restaurant

Very reasonably priced, with maybe overgenerous portions?! Always cooked well with plenty on the menu to choose from. Standard staple foods, full English, jacket potato and omelette, all good. Child seats available, accessibility is fair, small step into building.

I really don't know how to start. I have been here before while passing through with friends and just had a coffee. This more recent stop was for lunch. We chose here because our first visit had been so clean and friendly. I'm gluten intolerant and get embarrassed about asking about the menu. I didn't want to risk it, so I ordered what I thought would be a boring chicken salad. I was so monumentally wrong. It's the best I've ever had. Packed with salad leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, beetroot, sweetcorn, gherkin, and jalapeño with a perfect chicken breast, it was outstanding. Some of the best hotels and restaurants do not offer a plate as good as this. I wish I had taken a photo, but it didn't last long once I started it. My ride outs will now always have this stop over planned in. It's an amazing place, beautiful clean food with really friendly people. I thank them all.

I had a lovely breakfast, I especially liked the mushrooms and the black pudding. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent location for convenience. It was a bit crowded, but I guess it shows how popular it is I would definitely recommend. Parking: Park in the tesco carpark opposite...

I have been here lots of times as I work in the area. The menu is very varied and comes in large portions. The staff are all very nice and once you order at the counter they bring drinks and food to the table. The ladies at the counter are all wonderful and are only to happy to help, if you want something on the menu to be taken off or added to your order they will. There is smoking outside at tables and a cover over them so you don't get wet if it rains. They take card or cash and have a tv inside that usually has music playing but not to load. I have never had a bad meal from them so would definitely recommend this place. Parking: Parking can be poor right outside the cafe but just across the road you have Tesco so plenty parking.

Opens early even on a Sunday. Service and food were good. The atmosphere was okay, but to be honest, I did not stay there, just had a takeawayFood: 4/5

Haven't been able to use this cafe for a year. Same great service, same great value. Same happy team, nice to see you all again.

This place is just a little bit more than your average cafe. Yes, you can get an all day breakfast in all its glorious varieties, but with a degree of trepidation I went for the chicken salad, the person I was with had the halumi salad. Both were quite excellent. Chefs Delight is highly recommended and I recommend trying something a little different off the menu. Whoever is cooking out the back is doing a great job.
