A very quiet train station which is served by Southern & Thameslink trains which go towards Horsham and East Croydon. There is no staff available at this station & no ticket barriers. A very tiny waiting area with only 3 seats disabled access is available to both platforms. The two platforms are narrow and short for 8 & 12 coach trains so travel at the front 4 / 5 coaches to get off and on the train.
Trains don't really stop by these parts no more, it's really sad... They're like unicorns, just a myth, a dream, a distant fantasy....nnMore seriously, if trains aren't running, can you direct us to the locations of the bus replacement service? Were not all familiar with the area, thank you.
Four stars for the station, it may be old, but it's still useable. The loss of the star is not the station however accounting for Southern Rail who are almost never on time and cancelled trains a lot.
Usually good. But ticket office is often closed when it should be open!! Needed season ticket urgently!nnUpdate: Amended review to 4 stars. Noticed the ticket office has been opened regularly very early. Great to see!!
If you’re in the rear half of train, you won’t make it out. Had to pay £30 taxi to get back to ifield afterward.
