This (or any other) Iceland is literally TAKING A PISS! I live nearby and come there all the time, but EVERY TIME I'm trying to buy alcohol, they are doing their very best to piss the hell out of me. First, I brought my driving licence as ID, because, of course I fully understand I look like 15 year old, but I am actually 24, therefore I always !!!! bring some form of ID with me when buying alcohol or cigarettes. Lady gave a quick look on my driving licence (issued by EU, in Slovakia, but says on it what it is, as well as my date of birth) and says 'I don't understand this language, therefore I can't accept it.' ????!!!!! ARE YOU F. SERIOUS?! for real??? I avoided Iceland after that for couple of weeks but as I live next to it, I said screw it one day and started shopping there again. So today I went there again and knowing they won't accept my driving licence, I brought my ID card, also Slovakian, but on top of this card there is written 'ID- card' , again, issued by EU in Slovakia. 'Cant accept it, it doesn't have proper stamp or sign it is genuine.' IT HAS EVERYTHING, IT IS ID CARD THAT IM TAKING TO TESCO, SAINSBURYS, CLUBS, EVERYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE THEY ACCEPT IT BECAUSE GUESS WHAT? IT. IS. ID CARD. But, not for glorious Iceland apparently. She told me to bring PASSPORT next time. PASSPORT?! I am pretty sure if I bring my passport next time they would probably ask me for my birth certificate, guarantor and criminal record just so that I can't buy 4 bottles of Budweiser. Piss off, Iceland. you are being rude and arrogant. NEVER COMING THERE AGAIN. WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO BOTHER. gave one star because you can't put zero stars. ps. also check your receipts, as sometimes they don't add discounts and then try to argue about it with you.

The prices have inflated a hell of a lot, tesco is cheaper
