iCare Pet Crem is a small family run business owned and managed by Alex Baxter. The business was established in January 2011 to support the local community providing a personal caring service but has since grown to support all areas in central Scotland.

Story

Pets are different things to different people, for some a pet is a companion and for others it is like having a child and that's why we want to help you say goodbye to your beloved pet in a dignified manner.

Our beloved Golden Retriever Jack sadly passed at home on August 20th and from the minute we spoke to Alex on the phone, ICare Pet Crem were so understanding and respectful. The service they provide is professional but also caring, personal items such as cuttings of hair taken, casts of Jack paw and a beautiful Golden Retriever urn. I cannot recommend them enough at such a difficult time. A special mention to both Elizabeth and Tom for the help & support at such a difficult time.
Would like to thank Alex for his kindness in taking care of our elderly springer spaniel. Back home the next day in a lovely Urn and all the beautiful wee touches were so thoughtful. Chalis the vet who made our beloved pets last moments very calm and peaceful. Outstanding service from you all. Forever grateful. Andrea & Robert
These guys go above and beyond for our beloved pets! Our dog passed suddenly at night and due to having young children I couldn’t keep him at home. One of the gentleman Jim kindly opened for me to take my dog from Edinburgh to Whitburn. The service and care these guys have for our dogs is amazing. Even tho he had been called out to open he told us there was no rush to say goodbye and that we could take as long as we needed! The care and compassion these guys have is 2nd to none and they gave us exactly what we needed. We could relax knowing our Benny boy was in the best hands possible. Can’t thank these guys enough! I took my mum's dog down here after he crossed Rainbow bridge and I honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience! From the first phone call to actually bringing the wee dog down everything was handled beautifully! We got our wee dogs ashes back the next day in a lovely biodegradable box with his name on it presented in a beautiful bag with cards and a candle. When I took it down to my mum She was absolutely overwhelmed. I told her how everything was handled so dignified and respectfully and it made everything feel so much better. Thank you so much from Ann and James!
We had to say goodbye to our much loved 16 year old cat ,Gabby , recently. She was a beautiful, gentle wee soul and we miss her so much . We had initially left the vet hospital to arrange her cremation but after speaking to a couple of friends who spoke so highly about ICare we contacted Alex , collected Gabby and took her to Whitburn and we are so glad that we did . The care, compassion and kind words from both Elizabeth and Alex will live with us forever . You have both made a very difficult time much easier and we are so comforted to have our girl home in a beautiful wooden cat ornament.The extra wee touches when we left Gabby with Elizabeth and when we collected her ashes from Alex were so lovely . Sadly we lost our beloved dog Blade on the 14th November 2022. We contacted Alex at quite short notice and he organised everything we needed. Zoe, the vet who Alex asked to attend our home, was fantastic, reassuring, kind and caring. She was relaxed and Blade liked her. Alex came to collect Blade exactly at the time he said. He and his colleague were sympathetic, empathetic and respectful. Blades ashes were ready to collect the next day with a bereavement card, hair clipping, candle and "forget me not" seeds to plant in remembrance. All the staff we met were fantastic and took time with us. They genuinely care. I would not hesitate in recommending them. Thank you so much. Paul and Pauline.
I really felt like Indie was in the best hands. The customer service was incredibly compassionate and I got Indie's ashes back really quickly, which helped give me comfort. Can't recommend iCare Pet Crem enough. Alex collected Indie so special mention for him, too.
I cannot thank you enough for all that you did for our guinea pig Paddy.The service you provided was done with care and attention to detail ,down to engraving his name on his casket and the little bag with a clip of his hair ,a candle and the forget me not seeds for planting. You have made a extremely sad time a little more bearable with dignity you gave him and the compassion you gave to us.Thank you.
No words can describe how much I appreciate Alex that runs Icare Pet Crem 4 weeks ago he took my old boy ki 17 years of age on last journey to be cremated, fantastic services & had my boy home to me the next again day. Also yesterday 27th September one of my dogs had 2 pups one was born sleeping, I phoned up Alex & arranged for Gusgus to be cremated, Alex is one of the most kindest people i have ever spoken to over phone, not yet meet the gentlemen he will all ways go going out his way for his clients & pets. Once again had the wee man back to me today Thank you for everything you do Alex & Team.
Our much loved orange roan cocker spaniel, Sophie, aged 14 years sadly went over the rainbow bridge on the 9th December. Our vet contacted Alex who arrived promptly and dealt with everything. The service provided is excellent, caring and professional. At your time of grief you need to know your pet is in safe hands. I can’t thank them enough
