Easy i , easy out, busy, but that's to be expected when there's a concert on, staff were very helpful and friendly too, it cost £13 so not too bad as it's definitely the best option if going to the hydro by car, there's a walkway that takes you straight in!
Plenty of space, typical pricing £12 covers an event for the convenience of being very close to the exhibition centre & OVO venue. Rather slow to exit after any well attended events, staff do well to keep things moving but local road network generates pinch points & congestion! So don't be in a hurry to get anyplace post event.nBeware, lifts down from walkway don't always work.
Easily accessible parking for the OVO. At £12 for up to 12hours its a bit steep but you do link directly to the venue and if you are carsharing its not a big deal.nHowever, there is no management or control over the exiting arrangements and it ends up a free for all with folks getting quite irate over delays and selfish driving. It took me 45mins from the point i got in my car until exiting the car park yesterday and that was only for an event that was half full.
Hydro car park is really good.nnOnly two down sides is =nn1. £12 parking for anything over an hourn2. Controlling cars leaving re ramp and on floors, ramps do have freedom to move and floors really should give way at it has lines to stop but the ra.ps are blocked by those on each floor.nnBest practice is like anywhere that busy, each car getting another in would make sense but it won't change.nnI find it crazy when people honk the horns when they clearly see nothing moving, I don't know what this achieves
So, it's hard to explain but if you build a car park to a very busy theatre you need to expect heavy traffic but it's genuinely a joke.nSo poorly planned. It's designed by idiots clearly who don't know service but only how to get as much money as possible. Well played on that front. Avoid for a busy event and walk if possible, a little further to avoid a 2 hour + wait to leave. Level 3.
