I recommended the Hyatt to my German friends who visited Birmingham at the beginning of September. Sadly, there was quite a bit of rain and temps plummeted. As seasoned travellers they were equipped with umbrellas and good shoes, but what surprised them was an irritatingly cold room on the 17th floor and being told that the hotel did not switch on its heating until mid-September. So future guests, please check outside temperatures before booking!!!! Rooms: Beautiful room, fab view.
I had to travel to Birmingham for work and frankly did not have high expectations. However, the Hyatt Regency far exceeded those expectations. The atrium is very attractive and the hotel bar and restaurant are appealing. Service at the front desk was probably the highlight of my stay. The team were extremely professional and good natured. I thought the room was very clean and quite spacious, if slightly drab in its decor. The view would have been quite nice from the 21st floor, but there is an active construction site in the lot across from the hotel which takes away from that, though certainly not in their control. The breakfast the following morning was above average and was comped for me which was a nice touch. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham if you need a hotel in town. It was a high quality experience all the way around for me.
We enjoyed the experience. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was great. The lady at reception helped me locate my bag I had left behind. Her name was Josephine and she went out of her to assist.Rooms: 4/5
The room was clean, and the location is good, but the air conditioning was a serious issue. At night, the AC temperature was stuck at 20°C and did not cool down the room, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. I even changed rooms, but the same problem occurred. During the day, the AC seemed to work fine, but at night it just didn't cool the room enough. Additionally, when I arrived at the hotel, there was no one to help with my luggage. I was informed that they only have one person responsible for handling bags, and their shift had already ended. Overall, I will not stay at this hotel again, and I would not recommend it to others.
I have no complaints. Everything was beautiful clean. I would go back again we were there his Mother and I for my Grandson. He was having a Basketball Tournament and yes, I would go back there again.It was beautiful, the atmosphere, everything about it, the people. .One thing I loved about it. It was clean from the front entrance all the way to my room beautiful. Rooms: Like I said, the rooms were beautiful two king size beds. I have my own my daughter had hers. Once we hit the bed, honey, our lights were out. Rooms are beautiful, very neat, clean and I love too. The rooms were smoke Free did not have to worry about any type of smoke. Nearby activities: Well, we did not get to go to any activities other than my Grandson's and her son's Basketball Tournaments and they did WIN. That's the only activities that we want to. Safety: So far from when we were there, it seemed pretty safe. We had no problems or run into anything. I said it was pretty safe.
There was nothing special about the room but it met all my standards. The same can be said about the bathroom. Except the toilet flushed, weird. You had to learn the trick The rest of the facility was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The real value of this hotel is the staff who are exceptional at what they do. The manager, front desk staff, wait staff at breakfast thanks Vinay for your excellent attention, and the staff working the hotel bar. All were outstanding!!! Rooms: Comfortable bed, nice large TV, smallish but fully stock coffee bar. Nice selection of toiletries in the bathroom. Nearby activities: An easy walk to the city center. The metro line and bus stops are just outside the hotel. Walkability: Just walk out of the hotel and turn right. Restaurants, bar, and other entertainment are steps away.
Gabriella on front desk was so incredibly nice,informative funny. I had zero questions left. Room was clean and highly fitted out. Every staff member was fantastic from the guy and girl running the pool to the breakfast army of staff. To cleaners.Couldn't fault this place if I tried. Hotel lobby is so beautiful. I can see why there was business clients there and personal clients.First Hyatt, hope all like this. Brilliant
Really enjoyed my two day stay at this hotel. Great central location, super rooms with soft seat and also a desk, plus comfortable bed, powerful shower and foot stool. Service ok but took 15 mins to find dodgy banana at breakfast as “ran out”!
Conveniently located at the heart of Birmingham. Within a mile radius, you could reach the canal, the library, the Victoria square China town etc. Everything is within reach. There is a club for you to grab some soft drink which is a nice peak for members. Please note that there are very limited amount of parking, and it is at the first come first serve basis. It will cost you about 27 pounds for 24 hours. So arrive early, park and explore the city by foot. Nearby activities: Victoria square, symphony hall Walkability: Next to the library and the canal. There are tons of restaurants around m.
Room wasn’t ready for when we checked in, we travelled back from London and just wanted to chill in the room and relax after a long weekend away. Considering I paid £400 for a regency suite you’d expect it to be ready for the time you’ve paid for. Also I was told I’d get a phone call for when the room was ready and never received one I called the hotel at 630pm to be told then it was ready when check in is supposed to be at 3pm. Wrecked the vibe to be perfectly honest as we was super tiered and could have done with a nap before enjoying the rest of our night. We was really annoyed and not one staff member had the decency to even apologise for the delay. We both decided to leave and just go back home by 9pm the same evening. Very poor experience and a complete waste of money.
