Sat straight down, ordered our food which arrived almost instantly. I was impressed with the speed of service and friendly staff. I had the Full Monty mixed grill which left me bursting at the seams.
19 members of our Ladies club met for lunch and were shown to the reserved area for us . Trish was our waitress and boy did she work hard . Nothing was too much trouble . All our meals arrived at the same time and piping hot . Great food and very generous portions. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back !
Food is tasty, with good value for money. It's one of the better pubs in Rayleigh when it comes to booze. Bar staff are always polite and can be a little slow even when it's not busy, the younger ones seem to be stood hands on hips yapping away to anyone who will listen, I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the waits.
After a family party for my mums birthday last night. And seeing as its first time all 15 of us together for first time in long time. Mum decided she wanted lunch last minute. Paige managed to accommodate us at last minute. Squeezed us straight in and the whole team were amazing. Natalie served us. Very professional and polite. Food came promptly even thou there was a 40 minute wait on food. Thank you for helping making my mums weekend a great weekend.
Brilliant evening. We had a great meal which for a table of 15 isn't an easy feat but the whole serving team were fantastic. The GM working the evening even assisted us with our order using an affiliate app. Only our second visit but we will be back for Saturday nights out with the family.
Place needs some TLC. Hole in the wall in ladies toilet, toilets are not very clean. The ceiling looks like it's coming down. Went for a family meal for my dad's birthday, and all of our food came out at different times. Family members had finished there's before others came out. Chips came out cold, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. I can't say I would visit again.
I had previously given this a better review however everything I used today was filthy. The glasses had beer in them still. The cutlery had food left on. The plates smelled like half washed dishwasher juice. The doors were even sticky. I was embarrassed to have taken friends here.
We had a group of 10 people and did the ordering separately in 3 different orders, but ordered them straight after each other. one of the starter was served and then five minutes later 2 of the main courses turned up, which we had to send back so we could finish our starter. We asked for fresh to be cooked. One of the main courses arrived once we had finished our starter and then we had to wait for everyone else's to arrive, when the 2 dishes came back which had been returned to the kitchen they were all dried up and cold peas, which we had to ask to be returned again, this time everyone else had their dinners and the person who got theirs first had now finished and had to wait for everyone else to eat their dinners. When the 2 dishes came back the 3rd time they were hot and edible. I would not recommend this place and I will never return. It was all frozen food just cooked and heated.
Best pub in the area, great for families in Restaurant section, pool and darts in the over 18's sports bar area and plenty of screens showing live sports, even on restaurant side but have volume down, everyone's a winner. Adam and the team will look after you and nothing is too much trouble
Great food, really affordable and lovely atmosphere. Trish served us today and was really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning :
