Superb authentic cuisine, we come here a lot and it never disappoints. Huge variety of dishes from the different provinces of China, as well as the Cantonese dishes British diners are more accustomed to. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Went for a meal pre show and the service and food was really good. We were sat down stairs very clean and tidy but still down stairs, hence only 4 stars for atmosphere. We as a group all could not fault the food. We would go again but ask for a table up stairs next time.Food: 5/5
What a fabulous restaurant. When you walk in your greeted by a lovely little terrapin in a tank along with the lovely waiting staff. The food was stunning, I felt completely full and as if I’d eaten something wholesome and fulfilling. The service was fast, prompt and friendly. I really wish I could give five stars, however the experience was hindered slightly for me by the house lager, it just tasted quite off, as if the pipes were not clean. Other than that, I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for a wholesome, delicious, affordable, succulent Chinese meal. Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible due to a flight of stairs needed to access.
The special chow mein was the best. Full of flavour and very tasty. The sizzling beef in pepper sauce was disappointing. The beef was way too tough and chewy but the flavours again was good. I would go back for the noodles.Food: 4/5
Very good Chinese food in Manchester Chinatown. Try the set banquet menu... You get a good taste of a wide variety of dishes. Has both expected Chinese dishes and some more authentic choices for the more adventurous eater. Everything we ate was delicious.Food: 4/5
We had the corn soup which, could have been better. The seafood fried rice, chicken in oyster sauce and mapo tofu was delicious. Didn't like the bubble tea but would still go there again. The chicken is halal.Food: 4/5
Stopped here for lunch after reading the reviews on Google. There was a small queue to get in and it was busy once seated. Then staff are very attentive , welcoming and friendly. We tried the wine prior To choosing which we wanted - the food was delicious we had some different plates shared between two adults and a child. Particularly enjoyed the chicken rice and the duck plate ! Would return.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at this Hunan restaurant, and I am pleased to say it was a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the bold flavours and fragrant aromas characteristic of traditional Hunan cuisine. Each dish truly showcased the perfect balance of spicy, sour, and savoury flavour. Making every bite an exciting journey for the taste buds. The Spicy Sizzling Beef, in particular, was my personal favourite - must try!! The service was equally impressive. The staff were courteous, attentive, and took the time to explain the menu, providing great recommendations to meet our preferences which added a very nice personal touch to our meal. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Central Manchester and looking for an authentic, enjoyable Hunan dinning experience.
We lived in Hunan for a year and were excited to come. It’s located in Manchester’s Chinatown, and the menu includes Chinese, English, and pictures. The food was very good, though we were a little disappointed that it was not the authentic spicy. I wonder if they assumed we wanted the less spicy British version vs. fiery hot Hunan dishes the province is known for. The service was good throughout, multiple vegetarian options, and prices moderate for Manchester.
