There are better restaurants in Chinatown I recommend over this one. They did have genuine baiju for only £15 a bottle. Too little rice for the food we ordered, we had to order another portion. The main came served in a fruit ball cooked ok and not too spicy. The bill was a tad high there are places where you can get better quality food, service and atmosphere at a lower price. We went on a Saturday night and there were only a couple of other tables in. Says it in.
Last minute dash in after street food was closed. Tbh wasn't sure what to expect as v mixed reviews over the past few years but much better this year. Happy with customer service, delicious taste ample portions and very affordable price. Thank you China City we will be back
Really disappointing. It was the only place without a massive queue and that says it all really. Quite expensive for the amount of food and the quality wasn't the best either. It was just quite bland. Not only that but the food came out so quickly apart from one dish. I was waiting about 10-15nins before I said something and then about 10 mins before the dish came out. Noone explained why it was so much later than the rest of the food. The staff were really nice but I don't intend on going back
Whilst visiting Manchester we decided to go for a Chinese meal in China Town on a Thursday night. We weren't really sure of what to expect, just walking past many places I saw the menu and it had a good selection of vegan options so decided to take the plunge and popped in. The lady serving us was very friendly and opted for the chilli tofu with plain rice and my wife went for crispy aubergine. The kids ordered chicken chow mein standard. It didn't take too long and became the highlight of my Manchester visit. Both the vegan dishes were sooo delicious I couldn't stop thinking about it days after ha.
Great place to eat in the center of manchester. .still opened after 10pm!!
First meal in manchester cheap and cool don't flrget to order fried rice im sure you need it. Its super duper damn good
They can make a whole variety of vegetarian food that's not on the menu. Just ask. This dish is vegetarian charsui honey pork in OK sauce.
We called in for a quick Chinese while in Manchester Chinatown. This restaurant serviced a great chicken soup, but totally disappointed with the main course. The main meal was serviced two mins after the starter. The mains become very cold after we had finished the starter. With only the two of us in the restaurant you would expect them to wait before serving the main course. The main course was very bland and lacking in any pride in the cooking. The base noddles and veg was identical for our chicken & prawns meals with only four prawns in one main. Not a fun place to eat, we will most definitely not visiting this place again.
Unfortunately, this place is a disappointment. I went there for dinner as I celebrated a really special day. Coke was lukewarm, spring rolls barely filled with something unrecognizable, and wine was good. My king prawn chow mein was probably cooked by someone who has no qualifications, tasteless, vegetables were not cooked properly. Moreover, it was all served in some white tasteless sauce. Staff unfriendly, arguable, no manners at all. I paid £26!! I am sure I will not be back. Avoid this place if possible!!!
Prawn stir fry was noodles and 4 peices of prawns with no sauce. Pictures on the menu looked nothing like the food served. Plates too small and table felt quite cramped. The food looked like it was rustled up by an inexperienced cook. £50 for 2 and was not worth the money and staff were often unattentive
