My mother needed to sell her very nice house in one of Surbiton`s prestigious river roads. I contacted the three obvious big name estate agents in Surbiton, and they all had the same sales pitch – `they all have many branch offices across London from which they could entice potential buyers to Surbiton` – and in return pay them a very large sum of money if a sale is successful. My mother didn’t have much time for the pushy sales pitch from these agents, so she took a friends advise and spoke to Humphrey & Brand. Laura Humphrey visited my mum, and gave no pushy sales pitch. Instead Laura made very clear that H&B aim to differentiate themselves by making a real effort with respect to customer satisfaction. My mother was feeling particularly fragile / vulnerable following my fathers death late 2017, and Laura took this on board and planned the entire viewing / sales process such that my mother was sheltered from much of the stress of selling her house. Eight viewings were scheduled for the first Saturday, and an offer was received from one of those viewings. The offer exceeded our expectations, and exceeded the estimates proffered by the three big name estate agents, and icing on the cake was that the buyers were not in a chain – couldn’t be better! Further down the sales/purchase chain there were a few complex issues causing delays and uncertainty, but throughout the process Laura stepped in and protected our best interests in a very straightforward, no nonsense, professional manner. My experience with purchasing five other houses in the past, is that estate agents typically take a back seat and expect the solicitors to resolve difficulties, but Laura stuck to her promise of customer satisfaction and chased the many complex issues through to successful resolution. In summary, selling, buying and moving is a stressful experience – my mum lucked out by following her gut instinct and choosing to use Humphrey & Brand. I cant recommend Laura and her team highly enough. Much appreciated.

My friend and I received an excellent service from Humphrey and Brand, where all staff members went above and beyond to help us find the perfect property. After being shown rental properties way out of our budget from another estate agents, Stephen from Humphrey and Brand showed us 3 properties that fully met our requirements on our first viewing. We put an offer in on two of them and were accepted for the flat we now live in. From finding the perfect flat to having our offer accepted - this all happened really quickly and we were very grateful that all the team went out of their way to provide the best service they could.

We have now been living at our flat for 2 months and the excellent service has continued. Rita from Humphrey and Brand has been fast and efficient at supporting us with any questions we've had related to our rental, and gone that one step further to help us. I would highly recommend Humphrey and Brand to anyone who is looking for a new property.

I have dealt with the girls at H&B for 4 years both as a landlord and more recently as a seller. I have found the service to be excellent throughout. I have found them professional to deal with, yet approachable and helpful, and I have always been confident in the advice which I have received.  I have recently sold the property through H&B, and they have succeeded in securing a good price, and in a remarkably short space of time. I have found the team to be polite and knowledgeable, and I would not hesitate to use them again if circumstances required.  Definitely recommended with a big thank you.

We recently exchanged contracts on our first house. The support Laura provided was excellent; she was always quick to return calls and emails (very refreshing and different to the experience we have had with some other agents in the area)  and provided regular honest updates, which we appreciated. She was incredibly helpful in chasing up solicitors, letting us know exactly what we needed to do to progress matters quickly and always willing to give advice. I would recommend Laura highly and if we were to sell would likely return to Humphry and Brand. Fingers crossed for a smooth completion!

We sold our flat in 2013 through Humphrey and Brand. They had previously sold my parents house , so had a great recommendation from them.
Humphrey and Brand were absolutely amazing from the moment Laura came in and valued the flat. She didn't beat around the bush, told us what we needed doing. I did a little research prior and knew what I wanted to market the property at. Laura completely agreed and was happy to test the market. No once was a few mentioned, which was a big plus. I have agents coming in wanting 3% plus VAT. 
The service throughout was brilliant. Phone calls and emails were always returned by Laura promptly. 
When we were under offer and going through the process we knew exactly what's was missing, who next to contact for missing info etc.
If you are after a professional service, who are always willing to offer advice then use Humphrey and Brand.
