Very unhelpful and seemingly under-trained staff. Out of about 6 staff I've had to deal with, only Matt was the one who was helpful and understanding. He should really probably jump ship and get himself into a stronger branch with a better cohort of staff. Only reason for a 2 star review instead of 1 or possibly no stars, given the option. It's no wonder why this branch is closing down.

Just moved to Manchester and went to open bank account. Can't speak for all the staff but the guy I worked with, Matt, was amazing. The guy was knowledgeable and hilarious. I have never enjoyed banking so much.

I had to wait for half an hour before before I was told that documents were still missing to open a basic bank account. These documents had not been mentioned previously. This was the third time I unsuccessfully tried to open an account with HSBC, each time with very long waiting time.  I will now switch to another bank.

Thé staff is unefficient and not willing to help. They can't even print an IBAN. If you open an account there juste hope never to run into a problem.
