Terrible customer service on the 1st of October 2022. The lady who was working in the branch was rude and loud, I am a premier bank customer and have been banking with HSBC for 10+ years and am seriously considering to leave the bank and switching to somewhere else with better customer service. HSBC has to focus more on training their staff, otherwise they’re going to lose their valuable customers.
I've lived in five towns and cities including London in my 40 years adulthood, and have never come across a branch as incompetent and with such rude staff as this one. Milsom Street was very good; at Southgate they were 20 minutes late for my appointment, took an hour to work out how to process opening a regular saver account; debited the wrong amount - most definitely their error - and then implied I had actively gone in the bank and made the excess transfer. On another occasion, barged in while I was mid-transaction on the machine to proclaim the merits of online banking. They may be understaffed and insufficiently trained, but no excuse for disrespectfulness of customers and their confidentiality. UPDATED OCTOBER 2020 I have to say that I've used this branch a few times over the last 6 months or so, and although I have only used the machines, and counter service once, the staff seem to have got their act together much better now, in terms of customer service. It's still a pity the Milsom Street branch closed, Southgate Street is a depressing and characterless clone of a hundred other UK shopping precincts, but can't blame the floor staff for that.
Banking made difficult. After booking an appointment and doing all the necessary paperwork at the branch, they have not managed in over 2 months to succesfully complete our application. We applied for a joint advanced account and a regular saver account. Well after chasing for a month we got the account but we have no working debit cards and no news of the savings account. Worst bank I have ever dealt with
Rudest unprofessional employee at Southgate location. Had 2 questions about bank transfers and the Indian woman talked down to me and with the briefest responses like I was wasting her time. I was the only customer in the bank at the time... Take your business to the Milsom Street location—much more professional and patient.
Matt helped me gain access to my business account. He was patient and knowledgable. Everything I asked was met with a positive response- I can do that for you
I had a problem with my online banking , i went to the Branch in Bath and i had a great service from Adriana very quick and professional.
Very bad response for account openings.
After having difficulties online the problem was resolved very quickly and professionally by Adriana.
Have always found the staff to be incredibly polite and helpful.
Very friendly for Ukrainian people
