I highly advise against buying a car from here. The initial inspection of the car I bought showed no signs of damage or scratches, and the 128 point inspection they brag about when selling their cars showed that all wheels had been checked and were in good condition. When coming back a few days later to buy the car after it had its valet, the pickup time was conveniently changed to be in the evening when it was dark, with a mountain of paperwork to sign, and conveniently no question asked about whether I would like to give the car a final check before leaving with it they also leave practically zero fuel in any car you get from them, just gotta hope traffic isnt too bad so you can get to a nearby petrol station. When inspecting the car the following morning at the first chance with daylight, the front-passenger alloy was scratched around the entire circumference, and the tyre was ripped and damaged not even legally roadworthy, and I had to pay to have a new tyre fitted. I rung up the salesman I dealt with Andrew Anchor who simply said that they sell used cars and these things can happen - no offer given for any kind of assistance to rectify an issue they caused. After I left reviews online highlighting my experience with them, they eventually got in contact with me to repair the alloy, but not refund the tyre I had to have replaced the courtesy car they gave me whilst repairing the alloy also had practically zero fuel in it and they wanted me to pay to put fuel in, before they eventually, reluctantly agreed to pay for it themselves. Credit where credit is due, they were able to successfully repair the alloy without doing any further damage to the car exterior like they did with the valet process. However, they still refused to refund the tyre, even though the alloy was a cosmetic issue whilst the tyre was a structural issue that left the car unsafe to drive. They came up with what can best be described as mental gymnastics to justify not refunding the tyre by saying that the tyre protrudes from the alloy to absorb damage to protect the alloy - something I am sure is true, yet is irrelevant to the simple fact that whatever damaged the tyre also damaged the alloy, and they themselves clearly accept that they are in the wrong regarding the alloy issue with their apology for the alloy damage and them paying to repair it and as mentioned, the initial inspection prior to buying the car and having its valet showed no signs of damage to the tyre or alloy, and the 128 point inspection shown during the initial inspection even mentions that all wheels are in good condition. Interestingly, I am still awaiting from Sales Manager James Keating on the results of their 'internal investigation' to figure out what went wrong, whilst no manager did the decent thing of explaining themselves or offering an apology when I dropped my car off for the alloy repair or when I came to pick the car up. I will be getting in contact with the Motor Ombudsman.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Ioshua for my car purchase.  What really stood out to me was his no-pressure approach. HPL Motors Oldham have a great collection of used cars, bought my first electric car from here, they also provide extras such as 3 year battery warranties for EVs, i do recommend this place if you are looking for good quality used cars.

Came to HPL from over Blackburn way and was very easy to get to and navigate round once arriving.nWe come to view one car in particular and soon as we arrived and began looking we had Nathan come over and start helping us right away. No waiting times or having to chase someone down to view, he came to us and was so much help. Got us the keys and with help from Kyle we had a test drive, super laid back and the car was great too.nThere were no pushing to purchase anything or any urgency to sign documents which we really appreciated.nWe left happy and had a think then decided to do one more test drive the following day and begin our purchase process which again Nathan helped so much with.nBoth Nathan and Kyle were great and so welcoming and accommodating, great staff here and great cars too.nWe got everything we needed and all repairs that were required on the vehicle were made prior to us collecting, and then upon collection we were treated superb and again well looked after. The whole process was easy and dealt with very professionally.
