Came to the hoy and helmet for a quick family meal in the week and ended up staying all evening! Lovely outside area, friendly staff and the food was great. We had pizzas which came very quick and some small plates. We were really impressed with the food and particularly enjoyed the buffalo fries! Will definitely be back!
Never judge it’s book by its cover….!nnWasn’t impressed at all with the service when entering the pub.nnRecommended by friends. The food arrived at the same time as requested not to mention how lovely it was and how well it was presented.nnThe lady, most probably the manager of the pub was so professional as one dinner was missing gave us it free. Therefore we decided to have dessert after our meals. Total spent £180 for 8 of us.nnAs it got to about 7:30pm the pub started to get busy which was nice to see, everyday they have something on at The Hoy & Helmet, i.e. Senior night, quiz night.nnParking is also available. I was not aware of this. This has certainly topped The Hoy & Helmet with 5 stars with a cherry on top.nnThe gentleman taking orders at the bar, seem to be fairly new, but did a good job.nnHighly recommend….!
I recently visited the Hot and Helmet Pub in Benfleet, Essex, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, Chris greeted me with a friendly smile and quickly showed me to my table. His professionalism and attentiveness were apparent throughout the evening, ensuring that my orders were taken promptly and accurately. Chris’s recommendations for both food and drinks were spot on, enhancing my dining experience significantly.nnLeah took over with seamless service once I was seated. Her warm demeanor and genuine enthusiasm created a welcoming environment. She was attentive without being intrusive, making sure I had everything I needed at just the right moments. Leah’s suggestions for drinks were excellent.nnThe food and drinks at the Hot and Helmet Pub were of the highest quality, but it was the outstanding service from Chris and Leah that truly made my evening extraordinary. Their combined efforts created an unforgettable dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.nnOverall, my visit to the Hot and Helmet Pub in Benfleet, Essex, was a delightful experience, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Chris and Leah. I look forward to returning soon and enjoying another fantastic evening at this wonderful establishment.
1st time here, expecting a small old fashioned pub but got a huge surprise when I walked out into the garden! What a fantastic setup! Lovely new outside bar and patio area,terrific size and layout. Inside the pub very quaint, lots of 'nooks' - you could be in there with 4 or 5 friends and not realise they are sitting round the corner!nHuge choice of beers, and all staff were very friendly.nI've already started recommending friends take a look hoping that I get an invite too
