It's a bit sparse of a store now. They still have well-known brands, but also a bit thin on stock. The home department was not very good. More options at John Lewis.
Disgraceful pricing issues not resolved by contemptuous staff and incompetent individuals at Resolver. Barbour product advertised online at £165, charged as £185 in store despite some items being labelled as £165 and "20% off" notices displayed on racks. A staff manager refused to refund the difference or even provide a credit note. Resolver promised a 10% off voucher online plus free postage but have now changed tack and are not providing it, so I will be contacting trading standards.
Loved HoF for many years but was underwhelmed by my recent visit. The place looks and feels neglected. Floors are worn and had hazard tape on them, staff were far and few between etc. I couldn't find a fitting room on the ground floor...might have missed it but there was no one to ask! Went to the first floor and the two fitting rooms were directly in the Mango clothes section I.e. people shopping directly outside the curtain whilst you're trying on. One cubicle had no light so was useless with the curtain drawn, the other was dirty with fluff, hair and tissue on the floor. Left a little bit sad, as it would be a genuine shame if HoF were to shut; so many good brands and choice provided there. It kind of felt like it was being 'run down'

Nice place to shop . Needed help finding my items and customer service was great not sp busy so I could actually walk around and browse .

I don’t usually shop from House of Fraser but I am glad I did this time, as I picked up the perfect Christmas gift for a friend. The shop itself is set out quite nice , everything seems easy to find and the staff are friendly
House of Fraser do not have a complaints department, therefore when something goes wrong, and it often does, you get passed from pillar to post by the 20 plus so called customer service personnel, who pay lip service to your complaint.
Sam at Aveda is the most helpful and friendly member of staff ever, he really makes you feel welcome and goes above and beyond to make your experience amazing.
Great service received! All of the staffs were so helpful and friendly. I was served by a lady named Paulene, and she was so nice and assisted me, unlike other high street stores in Nottingham that is not bothered to deal with you at all
