Story

Debbie Bryan is an award winning design and making studio and a leading independent retailer located in Nottingham's historic Lace Market and at the heart of the cities new Creative Quarter.

Along side Debbie's own scarf and brooch collections, the shop sells a vast selection of the very best gifts for you and your home created by British and International studio artists and makers.

Since opening the shop in 2009, Debbie has been working with inspiring thinkers, developing unique products, cultural and creative experiences that are inspired by British heritage and our in-house Lace Archive.

Had a wonderful afternoon of craft! The venue is beautifully decorated and so lovely inside. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. We chose the ceramic coaster painting session and it was very fun and quite easy. We got the deal that includes a drink and a cake, which was yummy. Would 100% recommend.
Lovely place tucked away in the lace market district. We only had a cup of tea, but the menu looked very good. The tea was served in quirky cups and saucers and there was lots of choices of teas. There was a whole host of crafts available to try your hand at.Service: 5/5
I went for a wreath making class, it wasn't cheap but it was wonderful! We were very well looked after & the array of foliage, flowers and accessories for the wreaths was generous & gorgeous. Highly recommended for a special treat, I learned you cannot make a bad wreath with Debbie Bryan.Food: 5/5
I just found it very disappointing / as usual a vegan / gluten free afternoon cream tea with not a drop of cream anywhere and only two cakes and sandwiches half the size of everyone else’s - everyone else had loads of sandwiches cakes of different types and a massive scone and cream. It was booked for me as you specify that you provide vegan and gluten free food it was a massive disappointment as there is so much that can be made and got these days Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free
A wonderful gem of a cafe. Tea, hot chocolate and fantastic cake in what is probably the most artistically interesting cafe in Nottingham. Located through a shop selling a wide range of high quality, unique, hand made craft items reflecting the Lace Market's history.
My daughter bought me a crafting vegan cream tea for my mother's day treat. The food was truly wonderful, especially the scones with jam and cream. I loved the beetroot and peanut butter sandwiches. They may be an acquired taste though! The China was lovely too. As for the crafting, we painted some vintage saucers. We had such fun and it was a really mindful activity. We will be back!
I went with my Grandma for the Jubilee Afternoon tea last week, it was absolutely delicious! Everything we had was homemade, yummy and beautifully presented. Hannah did a great job of creating the menu and looking after us on the day. Thank you to you all!
We had lunch at Debbie Bryan on a Saturday and it was absolutely delicious. Really attentive staff and super friendly. Delicious sandwiches and warm scones. Will definitely return to do one of their Crafternoons too!
A wonderful little haven to craft away an afternoon! I have been here for 3 different crafternoon tea sessions & have help thoroughly looked after, relaxed & provided such a lovely experience. The teas & brownies are delicious too! Would recommend for a hen party booking- the team are very accommodating.
We had such an amazing time at Debbie Bryan for our team Christmas get together: afternoon tea followed by a dried wreath making crafternoon. The three of us absolutely love crafts, and couldn't think of any better way to spend an afternoon than loads of tea, coffee and cake and unlimited access to boxes and boxes of dried flowers. The guidance given was super helpful, and the tea room itself is so beautiful and creative — a proper little treasure trove hidden away in Nottingham's side streets. Also: such good chocolate brownies, and amazing scones too. We're moving into a studio close by in the new year, so we'll definitely be back whenever we need a creative fix!
