We visited with the intent of getting the lobster and we were definitely not disappointed. We called ahead to check availability which I would recommend as it may not be available and it would save the disappointment. But I can hands down say that this is one of the best meals we have had maybe ever! for a special occasion. The food was unmatched and the staff were incredible. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the food you are getting. The setting, location & interior decor is also incredible.
6 of us came here for lunch today and what a lunch we had. To start we shared a selection from the starter menu mussels prawns and scallops all absolutely delicious with some of the breads and oil. The mains were equally as good I had the smoked haddock fish cake which again was lovely and some of the others had the plaice which they also enjoyed. Will definitely come back again.
Had lunch here today, had the hake which was really well cooked and the raspberry lemonade was probably the best I have ever had! Fabulous location with good service and lovely food. Great place for a long lunch overlooking the beach but it is very popular so would recommend booking in advance. For anyone not familiar with the location, there is a large pay and display car park right opposite the restaurant so very easy to park and walk across. Would definitely recommend especially if you are looking for quality seafood.
Really relaxed lunchtime meal from the set menu. Two of our party were under the age of 6 and they catered for them perfectly. 1 dog also in attendance, welcome to sit with us in the outside dining area. A great lunch. Would recommend
Best food we had on our week stay in Cornwall. Great food, great setting and great service. I would come all the way from London again just to eat here.
Beautiful views .. popped in for a drink, it’s a shame that they have a separate place to sit for drinks, if you can sit wherever you want you’ll probably look at a menu and eat as well but it was still lovely and the girl who got our drinks was super nice and helpful.
The starters and the dessert were fantastic, but the main course of lobster was mushy and full of water, as well as being small. As the restaurant was busy, we didn't make a fuss preffeing to mention it on a future visit. Everything else about the restaurant was great. Will definitely use again.Service: 5/5
Had a lovely evening meal here, would definitely recommend the lobster! Staff were accomodating and friendly, great views and a perfect atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.
Delicious lunch Hooked on the rocks Swanpool, Falmouth What a find this place is. It's just down the road from where we were staying. We were very lucky to get a table at this exceptional busy seafood restaurant & bar over looking the beautiful Swanpool beach & nature reserve. They specialise in fresh, sustainably sourced seafood. We started with nibbles of House baked Focaccia and a portion of padron peppers. Our choices to start were the Falmouth Bay Scallops which you can or 6 or 12. They were so delicious we could have eaten more. Followed by Cornish Haddock with some great condiments including a lip smacking curry sauce and the best mushy peas ever. And one of the daily specials Grilled Cornish John Dory both served with triple cooked chips. Didn't have room for dessert but had a very good Irish Coffee We can see why this is a very popular place to get great fresh seafood. The staff are super super friendly and make you feel very welcome. This is a must try if your ever lucky enough to dine here. Oh, and it's also in the michelinguide uk.
Fresh seafood right by a beautiful beach that makes you feel like you are away from the UK! It was a serene view of blue green sea with delicious lobster and scallops. They even do nice pork belly for those who don't like seafood along with tasty fries and good drinks. Definitely hooked.
