DON'T BOOK THE AFTER'S OF A FUNERAL HERE! A year ago the stocky, short, black haired, Irish guy was so disrespectful to the family and friends of the deceased, and towards a blonde, junior staff member. He was bullying a female staff member in front of myself and two women at the bar calling this young lady ugly, fat, lazy and stupid. Then he started shouting at the two women customers about when the food would arrive. Despite the ladies asking a dietary question about the menu. I didn't catch this piece of trash's name, but afterwards I found out that he's the 'Second In Command', at this pub. Many regulars have stopped drinking there since he started and was given this position. He was standing there doing nothing, apart from bullying and picking fights, whilst the junior staff members ran the place. It was my first and last time in this premises, and I will never return again.
Food was dry and cheap, not worth the money. Ordered food for 40 people and was charged for 50 leaving me short of €70. €250 charged for a room, that was told to leave an hour early. Manager rude not approachable. I'd never give custom again.Food: 1/5
Had platter for two which was huge - small potato wedges/chips, spring rolls, onion rings, chicken balls etc. Made mistake of ordering chicken wings as we could not eat them all due to size of platter. The hostess was lovely also. Only complaint is that the outside needs updating/ revamp, it could put some people off, which would be a pity. Also the nice Pinot Grigio Two/ Three RabbitsIs sometimes not available as a person from the bingo buys lots of it. Only reasons it didn't get 5 out of 5.
Arrived in here Father's day at 1.30 to dirty tables with drink stains, we ordered 2 club sandwiches and chips, sandwiches were the driest tasteless sandwiches I've ever had and chips were cheap and frozen also ordered stuffed chicken and bacon with chips arrived to table in a bowl, chicken was disgusting looking, looked like it was boiled even the fat on bacon was white, I wouldnt call the person who sent this out a chef as they cannot cook they should be ashamed of themselves, management have let this place go down hill, very annoyed with the whole experience will never eat in here again
Lovely food and a lovely pint from The Homestead, it was my go to pub during lockdown for home deliveries. Never disappointed with the pints of Heineken or Sex on The Beach Cocktails. We also ordered food from here, it was excellent & very reasonably priced. Great staff, great drinks and great food, I highly recommend The Homestead. We will be visiting soon!
Very pleasent staff. Food excellent well worth a visit if in Cabra reasonably priced varied menu. Will definitely be back there.

Great pub with live music and good food
Staff is not trained, mixed up every order and all our food came incorrectly and half of it didn’t come at all. Food was thrown together on a plate and was absolutely awful. Drinks were overpriced and not even cold. Three meals never arrived and we were expected to pay for this awful service. Isn’t servers fault, managers clearly don’t care enough to train and cause absolute disasters. Place wasn’t busy by any means and they still managed to mess up my entire tables order as well as two other tables next to me. Tried to charge us for the food that never even arrived and double charge us for drinks that were already paid for.
