The plants are starved of water, reduced by not that much and when I asked Matt/Manager on Wednesday evening to reduce them a bit more so that I can buy the lot, he was more interested in his mobile and messages rather than the customers. He stated that Homebase have a policy and if these plants are not sold they will be disposed of. So in this case it's better to add to the landfill rather than reducing them more to sell them. What a waste and an attitude. So why do they staff who work in the garden section but don't take care of these plants or even water them! Terrible service and attitude, and not customer friendly in my opinion, or good service by the supposed to be garden staff.

Oh dear Homebase HedgeEnd what has happened. Tatty, untidy, empty shelves, damaged and poor stock - are you planning to close down I ask myself. Only saving grace , the staff as pleasant as always, but doubt I will go back now.

Bought some paint that turned out to look different from when we had seen it on the website. Went to Homebase to try and find a solution. It was mixed paint and had been opened to test the color, was not sure of what they could do to help. Unfortunately we arrived almost before closing. Oliver patiently spent the next 30 minutes mixing paint which we had brought in, and when this did not work he kindly mixed new paint which we then were able to purchase at a discount due to some of the paint not mixing as desired. Could not have possibly hoped for a better outcome.

I have recently started using Homebase as my 'regular' DIY Store instead of a large competitor's store nearby. However, yesterday I was forced to return to my old haunt to purchase a guttering system for an outbuilding. The reason - Not all components were in stock! All were available at the nearby store and I was joined by another guy who was following the same course! So probably no one was buying this type of guttering at Homebase for the want of better stock control.
