Awful service. Apparently they don't exchange items that are made online? Like what? How? Why? They literally make up the rules as they go along! Their website says different. Be aware.. I've had to contact their customer services team as there reigate store are useless, rude and refused to exchange my item the day after I ordered it!!
Parking is a bit tight, plus not enough staff on the floor, they.dont seem to know their product and no one takes you to the item you can't find. I had to ask 3 different people then they called someone, who then disputed what the first person told me, nightmare. If you know what you want and where it is on the shelf then you are okay. Anything else don't hold your breath you will pass out.
This is a delightful shop never been to this branch before but it is compact with everything that I needed for the task I was doing, the layout is good well signposted throughout the store a well presented with the items well dressed for presentation, the garden centre is a bit tardis as go go through it it keeps revealing it's wares staff were friendly and enough were on duty for the footfall of customers
It was fine. I was after some portable heaters for work, and they had a good selection to choose between, so fairly happy
Absolutely freezing in shop. All staff wearing hats,coats and scarfs. Luckily I knew what I wanted and didn't have to stay long. I certainly wouldn't have stayed to browse.
Went to get some paint testers and pictures hooks ended up spending loads ..that's my fault taking the girlfriend doh . Bought a nice house plant and a garden plant, decent value for money. They could do with in house watering lot of the plants for sale where struggling. Not a bad spread of items on sale. Our go too for our DIY needs
We have received great assistance from Karen and Mark when we visited the branch for collecting our order. The support and advice given in the store was outstanding, the best purchasing experience that I have had for a longtime. It was fully knowledgable, pleasant and very helpful. These people are invaluable assets to Homebase. Please take care of them.
Great stock in store. There were two lovely members of staff but one member of staff on the fool was not helpful and was grumpy. A mixed experience. Th positive interactions sewyed me to 4 and not 3 stars.
Homebase looks like a very neglected outlet, The pricing is notably higher than similar stores, I presume its also under staffed, none of the tills were open, and payments were taken at the customer service department. So in a relatively empty store with little to delight you still had to queue to pay. Aisles were not well signed, and no obvious system, finally found what I needed, but no one to ask for assistance.
My rating is solely based on the conditions of the outside plants that they have for sale On my numerous visits the amount of price reduced plants for sale that are dead or dieing due to the lack of care and attention is shameful and a disgrace This store either has a shortage of staff or has staff that just don't have a clue about watering living plants The plants are not delivered in a shocking condition they are just neglected If the store is unable to manage the volume of stock ordered or just supplied by HQ then someone needs to take responsibility for the care and attention required to keep the plants in a saleable condition. Its wasteful and shameful for supplied plants to be uncared for and then to be binned as waste. Management in the store or at the Company HQ needs to do a review on the ordering of stock or the training of the staff.. Next time I visit I will take photos to support my comment's. Update February 2023 Plants looking much better cared for...
