This review is about the bird reserve, not the beach. A small reserve with a single path and two hides, really modest if compared with neighbouring Titchwell or Clay, but famous for good bird - I had two Spoonbills last time, for example. The beach might be good for seabirds but it is far too crowded when the weather is good. No visitor centre, but some facilities for beach goers and some more under construction. If you come for birds, don't get discouraged by the crowds at the car park - just take the path to the left into the woods and you'll get to reasonably quiet area.

I love this place. The sand is beautiful.. not stony like some other beaches. There is also a forest next to this.. goes on to and from the beach. The only thing I don't like is people allowing their dogs on when signs advise no dogs

Holkam beach is stunning. I really love it here. We have taken the dog for a few hours; there's nothing much in the way of entertainment; no pubs, cafe, etc. That suits me fine. We went during the winter time and there were very few people about,it was great. I haven't been during busier times but, judging by the size of the car park (paid), it looks like it is popular. Beach is close to the Victoria Pub. My favourite in Norfolk.

Beautiful place for a leisurely walk with the dog. Tide was about half a mile out morning and evening. Good for reactive dogs as, once you get past the walkway, people seem to disappear.

Beautiful part of norfolk, no only is it a beautiful estate, has lakes and a cricket pitch! It is dog friendly and has marked walks and bags of parking.... Near the beach, which if you fancy a long walk, is linked yo Wells. Nice pub nearby and friendly staff. Great for walkers, dog walkers, couples and families.
