Stayed for 3 nights and a good hotel for the money. My room was more than acceptable and clean, a bit dated but clean. The rest of the hotel was warm and welcoming and again very clean. I have stayed in a few holiday Inn hotels and this is one of the better ones. Only issue I had was the doors being locked at 11 and having to ring a bell to gain entry, could do with a card system to get back in. Did feel like it invaded my privacy as they knew my comings and goings and I only wanted to go out for a smoke. Overall a good stay and slept very well, I didn't even hear the traffic noise from the busy road.
For the price I cannot complain. The room was spacious and clean. The food was decent, although the chips were a little under. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, especially those working in the bar/restaurant area. Having to pay for parking was disappointing though.Rooms: 4/5
Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food was average but have had better. Hotel unfortunately is very tired. The third floor room I had was very noisy at night and kept me awake due to the old window. The bed creaked due to the mattress age. The bathroom shower curtain bottom was orange. The shower was cold in the morning which prompted a complaint to the reception. No bin liners in bins. The carpet was obviously tired like the room. Overall as a holiday Inn frequent user this hotel is probably the worst I stayed at.
1 check in, staff made me feel welcome and was happy to take any questions I asked. 2 bar staff, were exceptionally helpful and professional and made me aware of all the days offers and recommendations. The food was really nice aswell considering most holiday inns I’ve stayed in set the bar quite low this completely raised the bar. 3 the room what you pay for is what you get but everything was spotless. Overall the hotel is a credit to the holiday inn name and would stay here again for work and pleasure. PS the breakfast was lush
Fantastic hotel and staff are amazing there. Really nice rooms very clean and beds extremely comfortable. Had such a good sleep and very quiet no noise during the night. Would recommend to anyone.Rooms: 5/5
Was surprised about parking charge which they waived easy to deal with team. Had a great stay. Great room for a night in a business trip. WiFi worked. Desk. Plenty of plugs. Clean bathroom. See you again soon. All holiday inns need to think about their parking policy for bona-fide guests and paying meeting attendees. Also, even I found the breakfast poor - and I am no gourmet!
LICE! Check in was pleasant and the staff are nice but as soon as I got to my room I wanted to leave it was unclean and run-down. After the first night I found lice in my bed which I reported to the front desk and they upgraded me to the executive suite which wasn't any better, only bigger. The seats were stained, sofa ripped and again unclean. I've noticed my head itch more and after using a nit comb i have found some. No refund and now having to pay for lice treatment.
Great value hotel...... room service was of a good standard and good value. Room was clean and maintained to a ok standard. Trainee manager was excellent very diligent and professional. She was very considerate to guests needs and sought advice to ensure things were done right the first time which was refreshing. Check our was disappointing 11am check out time and reception busy but duty desk manager had been for a cigarette break leaving a queue to develop and for someone with issues with standing this did impact more then most, and cigarette smell is my lasting memory of my stay now.
Had over night stay and attended a work training meeting the next day. Room was comfortable with decent TV and bed was lovely and soft. Bar downstairs was spacious and the food and drink was good. Staff were all very helpful and very accommodating at the meeting and couldn't do enough. Food revised for lunch was really good. Thank you!
Extremely tired these days and past it's best, or even it's mediocre. For the price, any Travelodge or Premier Inn will be better. Furniture and decoration dilapidated and my son had lice in his bed and had to have treatment after our stay. They moved him from the room, but the "executive room" they moved him too had equally dilapidated furnishings. Complained and supplied photo's of the lice etc., no apology or contact since?
