Had a recent two night stay. Great central location, reception staff very friendly, breakfast was good. The bedrooms are in need of an update though, the bed was comfy and shower good, but stains on the carpets and walls and an horrible drain smell when I walked into my room room 144. Could be a really nice hotel with some investment in modernising the rooms and addressing the drainage issues.
Great accessible hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great, rooms clean, bathroom was a sensible shower- no large bath to try and navigate! Bed was comfy. Bar reasonable prices too.
Stayed 10th November for one nightnGreat location centre of Cheltenham and numerous restaurants and entertainment close by.nParking next door at NCP. Holiday Inn will validate your ticket and get 25% off price so we paid £9.70 for 24hrs.nGreeted by very friendly and informative receptionist.nDouble room was very spacious and clean. Very comfy bednWe opted for the room with additional sofa bed so we had somewhere to sit.nGood night sleep. Considering we were in the centre of town we had no trouble with noise even with the window open.nBreakfast is included and you won't be disappointed. Hot English breakfast or continental, huge variety of choice.nGreat hot drinks as well.nCan't fault our stay.
Poor service; they completely ruined our family holiday. This was the worst reception experience I’ve ever had at an IHG hotel. The hotel staff, especially the reception, seemed indifferent to customer needs. The reception staff were rude and offered minimal information, only mentioning breakfast times without addressing any other questions. It seems the hotel has poor management too. The staff is not well trained to provide good customer service and information in check in and during the stay.nnWe were initially given a room with a wet floor and mattress and had to request a room change. There is no on-site parking, only an option to use the nearby NCP car park for £10 per day. The limited swimming pool hours for kids and families 9am - 12pm on weekends were also not communicated at check-in.nnHousekeeping has been disappointing, they hadn’t even been by to clean our room by 3 pm. The breakfast is decent, though it’s not a full English breakfast, and the room sizes are relatively small, as expected in an express hotel.nnOverall, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at an IHG hotel. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families with children.
Very central location. Nice rooms and common areas. Excellent breakfast.Options for discounted parking and free use of nearby gym with swimming pool. But most importantly- lovely and professional staff-reception, housekeeping and waiting staff, special thanks to Calum for sorting our booking at the very last minute. Will visit again when next in the Cotswolds.Thank you!
