After going through some automated phone call questions regarding my details etc I was transferred through to someone after 5mins of calling. I verified my info with him and then the tax adviser put me on hold while he did a calculation. After 1 or 2 minutes he came back on the phone and told me I had overpaid my previous years tax so would be eligible for a rebate (yes!). He then pointed me to a new "personal tax account" login on the .gov website and said this would be the best way forward to speed things up. The whole call was wrapped up in 12 minutes. I called at 4pm.
