Food arrived half an hour before stated. Food was hot. Although fish was nice I am almost certain that it was not cod but whiting. First time we have used this chippy and would use it again.
I have not been here before but a queue for food speaks for itself, ordered fish and chips fresh and hot, must mention that they had very friendly staff as well, please give it a go you won't be disappointed.Food: 5/5
Now i’m not going to lie man this is the spot my local my everyday if i could. But the past couple days it’s been different and i don’t mean the food! The food that comes out is fresh and hot and lovely always cooked how i like. However i’m also about customer service and i think it’s one thing that will bring me back is good service. Today there’s some new person she served me a few days back also and i just thought it had a bit of an attitude on it to the point it made the other lady uncomfortable enough to wait outside. To then also forget something from my order. Not good enough i hope she’s temporary? :/
Ordered for take out only live 2 mins away and my scallop batch was freezing and my nuggets were still hard and uncooked . Called up for a refund and was given no help and staff is extremely rude and accused me of lying ! Never will I go there again !
I stopped for Fish and chips.The chips were beautiful and the small cod was a good size cooked just right with crispy tasty batter.I enjoyed the mealParking optionsFree street parking
I ordered a mixed chicken meat kebab with salad. This is what I got... literally 3 pieces of tikka meat, along with dry Mediterranean chicken - obviously the last of the cut. my husband even called before ordering online to see if there was meat left and was told yes we have loads left don't worry bit of lettuce and a ripped pitta that hadn't even been toasted. Very rude owner when I called to complain. Aggressive in his manner. You would think it was him calling to complain the way he addressed himself.
Missing items, food was cold, scallops were sloppy. Told me 30 mins for missing items to be delivered so i drove there and they wouldn't even give me them until I argued for them as it was a meal for my son. Never again. Overly priced
Really good service from the young blonde lady on the till just now and food was hot and fresh
Used to be the best and still good on Fridays but for the rest of the week stale refried chips and the oil isn't changed very often. I have been a regular for over 30 years and its sad to see the decline in quality.
Very greasy batter on everything. Think oil needs changing... and over the last year it seems to have got worse.
