Been here 3 times now, always quiet as we tend to do May/June or September but just had an October break. Bus from the Village to Padstow. Will be back,.
Lovely clean site. Beautiful toilet blocks. Staff in reception efficient & friendly
A nice campsite. Bit disappointed with the childrens entertainment in the evening as there's nothing at all really for them to do.we stayed on the end field and there are no bins/toilets/wash facilities or pot washing facilities. It's abit of a walk for the kids everytime for the toilets etc . Clean site and good location.
A very well presented site, nicely grass and hedges etc so Presentation is fab. I wouldn’t say this is a family holiday park, no children entertainment, nothing open in the daytime time as in the small posh bar and restaurant and One small park only . It seem to be a local Plymouth business park not oriented at all for families and holidays, with no sign at all indicating holiday time . A nice park if you have a local business but just for family fun.
Good points: - Nice clifftop view - 20/25min walk to boobys bay - close to trevose head and Constantine bay - newly built buildings - many teenagers so great IF you have kids - great shop. Reasonable prices and many items Bad points: - extremely windy. Ensure strong tent/awning - wifi is only good at bar. All rest is unusable - no squeegee in bathroom for after shower so woman’s block was floor was covered in hair, sand, grass by 9am. C - unorganised. Many people moved plots midstay. Personal experience: The male receptionist was very rude. We moved pitches mid stay, a point was shown on the map and we moved and set up. I returned to reception for a paper tag to display and we released i had set up in the wrong pitch opposite the one i was supposed to be in.. I then asked the female receptionist if this would be a problem as we had fully set up. She continued to fill out my label and said no its ok, shell sort it. I attached the label and left for a beach day. Returning at 11pm that night, my husband had a voicemail on his phone he didnt take to beach, no signal there that stated we were on the wrong pitch. Reception was shut as it was late so we went to bed knowing we would be leaving by 10am anyways. The next morning the male receptionist turns up on a golf cart, telling us weve made his day incredibly hard and beginning to raise his voice at my husband. I decided to go out and explain the situation. He then begun pointing and telling us we were wrong which we previously apologised for and did so then. He continued his tone despite explanation. When i said about the female receptionist, he then tried an emotional blackmail technique saying if it was true she was going to be sacked on the spot. As he drove away he said he was going back to fire her. I’m unsure if he wanted me to pretend i lied to save her or what but i am sad that this woman has a boss that would react so wildly over a mistake. Imagine having a boss like that. We will not be returning.
Fantastic campsite in a great location for exploring the area. The facilities on site are spotless with a good amount of toilets and showers for you to not have to wait or queue to use peak season maybe a bit different but the wait wouldn't be long. Great little shop on site that is reasonably priced and has a good variety of things needed during your stay. Great coastal walks to padstow and surrounding beaches there is a little bit of road walking that needs to be done but most vehicles on the road are considerate to walkers. The bus service stops right outside the campsite so if walking isn't your thing you have access to the coast all the way from padstow to Newquay. And the sunsets from the campsite are a great way to end the day.
A pretty good campsite. Very popular. They have grand visions for the future with some building work going on. The new toilet block is lovely but is closed for over an hour for cleaning each day. I think little and often would be better as this is a popular method on five star campsites. The bar is lovely and half of which is family friendly. The shop has all the basics you need.
Lovely spotlessly clean facilities friendly staff.
Clean, good facilities, regular cleaning, lovely pitches, lovely view and great pool!
It's superb, the location is fantastic,Marks team are friendly and run the park well, it ticks all the boxes for a camping holiday in Cornwall .
