What an incredibly stupid booking system! Hertz and Costco have collaborated to make available self-drive Hertz vans from Costco's carpark. So you park your car in Costco, shop in the store, then pick up up a Hertz van to drive your stuff home. So far, so good. But here's the real genius...you can only park in Costco for up to 2.5 hours otherwise there's a £100 fine. So by the time you've done your shopping driven home and the back to Costco your time has expired. Of course, there's no info about this anywhere when you book through Hertz.
