We have been run by the same family for over 45 years in the village of Winterton On Sea. We cater for holiday makers and locals alike

Story

We have been run by the same family for 40 years in the village of Winterton On Sea. We cater for holiday makers and locals alike and have 3 function room restaurant and the Coach and Horses bar. The view out over the dunes and beach stretch for miles along the Norfolk coastline.

Our accommodation is open all year round the Bar and restaurant is limited to certain days and nights during the winter.

My first time visiting in a few years, but definitely will return.nI'm currently a very happily divorced woman.nSo it was just myself and my two dogs.nI stayed in a pet friendly roundhouse, you could see the sea out of the window, and more or less backed onto the sand dunes.nLots of walking and exploring was done, so it was nice to return to a very hot shower and a comfy bed.nCan very highly recommend a visit
We stayed in the thatched single Huts opposite the lighthouse. Whilst we were relatively comfortable the bed being right up against the wall posed a problem, no shelving above the bed for drink of phone etcnNo hairdryer and heating only worked in lounge and bathroom. Apart from those minor gripes, location was superb and the place was clean.
Have been coming here for over ten years, love this place. Chalet renovations are great. 1 small niggle is that the kitchen table is to high ! I'm 5ft 5 and seem to be reaching up to eat.nThe sofa is facing into the room which is a shame when you have such fantastic views to look at !!nFood in the restaurant and bar is always of a very high standard and have never been disappointed. Chalets always very clean and well maintained too. Everything is within walking distance, pub, beach, tea rooms and shop.nWould be great to see the Sunday carvery back !!nWe recently visited for Easter and was greeted with an Easter egg each which was a lovely touch.nWe will be back in the summer !nThank you hermanus and winterton it is always a pleasure.
Had the carvery a couple of weeks ago, it was fantastic. Very good quality and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly as well, will be going back. Can highly recommend
Great for all. We loved it, dog loved it.nnGreat location, not far from the beachnnOur second time therenn28.04.24 Just returned from our fourth visit with two dogs. Still love it. Never crowded as there are miles of beautiful, sandy beaches, dunes, and sea. We will have very tired dogs for a few days. Our GSD+ spent most of his time on the beach or whining at the door to go to the beach. This time we stayed at 29, right next to the ramp that leads to the sea. We really do love it.
