This place is just your average Chinese but at a high price. Staff and service was good but the food wasnt anything special. It tasted just like our take away which I wish we'd just gone home and ordered at a quarter of the price. £6.00 for a small bowl of boiled rice to share between 2 people is a bit extortionate really
Fast, tasty, nice, good service and atmosphere
Delicious food, great for groups as the set menu's provide good variety. Often fairly quiet in the weekdays with atmosphere picking up at the weekend. Great for a work event or a group get-together.
Excellent buffet menu, cooked to order and served speedily. £14.99 per person... Good on a Sunday night. Staff pleasant and restaurant atmosphere comfortable. Disabled access reasonable.
We had an excellent meal at Henry’s. The staff were lovely, providing excellent service. The food was spicy, hot and tasty. And the whole meal was really reasonably priced. We will definitely return!
new year 2014 for 2 people. food was adequate but not up to the standards of a couple of years ago. Staff pleasant but clear that there is no love lost between them and the management. expensive for the quality received. wouldn't recommend given Birmingham has many good Chinese restaurants.
Hands down the worst experience of a meal out in my entire life. The food came out cold, but no body came and asked us how the food was. After sitting around a waitress finally came over, we said that the food had come out cold and she just said with attitude no it didnt we cook it fresh and walked off in a mood. The table was cleared we then waited 25 minutes for someone to come over and ended up having to ask for the bill again! Some old man presumably the manager came over and when we said the food was cold and we were not satisfied as we didnt even eat the meals he just said so what do u want me to do about it! I said well ur the manager! I was like well if that's the attitude I'm not paying for it so he begrudgedly took the meal off the bill and rudely said there u are and walked off. I left some money on the table and we left. Will never return! Shame as it used to be a good restaurant before these incompetent people will zero customer service skills took over. Utterly disgraceful.
One of the worst meals I've had ever. Chicken wings tasted stale and the fried rice had no flavor or taste. Waste of my money and I didn't eat it. I had the salt and pepper chicken wings and chicken friend rice.. . Im sorry but I was so upset I spent so much on the food and it was not tasty. I have been eating different foods in birmingham for years and it was my first time trying your food. When I made a complaint on fb they apologized and then laughed. I do not recommend. Please avoid
We have eaten at the restaurant for a while being locals. We ordered a takeaway from there last week and the food quality has really gone down hill. Stale crackers, not very nice meat and generally not up to scratch. Such a shame as it used to be very good!
Starters weren't great, duck was very dry. Decor slightly dated and seating not very comfortable. Been here previously and had some great food. So it's possibly a hit and miss kinda place. For Chinese in the jewellery quarter it could be much better considering what else is located very close by.
