It doesn’t look like much from the front and inside is the same, but what does draw your attention is the traditional roasted meat hanging in the window. I went for the salt and pepper kings prawns with rice and a side of curry sauce. The prawns were freshly cooked and a generous portion. I’m glad I went for curry sauce as it would be a bit dry for my liking otherwise. The 3 or 4 meat roast from Peach Garden is a popular choice and loved by many who say it’s very authentic. If you fancy trying this be aware that the meat isn’t served hot and you will have bones. We also ordered tofu in black bean sauce. It was the soft, sort of eggy like tofu. The stir fried veg was nice and crunchy. It would have benefitted for a little more sauce to go with the good serving of rice you get. Service was efficient and food is served super quickly. You can also order to take away.
I had a good time and enjoyed my food. I had the Beef with Green Peppers and black pepper sauce and fried rice, which cost £10 for a good portion size. If you do want a drink expect to spend another £2 at least though. Some of the others in my group weren't as happy with what they got though.
Always delicious good prices been going here with friends for a few years. Food is tasty and authentic, ordered crispy pork noodle soup, chicken and green pepper in black bean sauce, duck and mixed vegetables and beef ho fun.
i was up in birmingham for the weekend and visited peach garden for dinner on friday night. the restaurant itself is a very stripped back back cafeteria - cash only also. the food... incredible. we both went for 2 meat and rice duck & char siu pork and shared barbecue spare ribs and prawn crackers. the food came out not long at all after ordering and didn't disappoint. i love duck, but the pork was actually my favourite here!
Friendly staff, wasn't too busy when I arrived on a Weds lunchtime but soon became very busy. I ordered the four meat with rice and a hot soya drink, came to £14. Such a wide variety on their menu. They take cash only so I had to dash to a cashpoint. Just to bear in mind, the majority of shops and restaurant tend to only take cash.
Sadly no more. Used to be regulars. But it has been all downhill lately - the super oily fried noodles, extremely chewy and inedible meats. The last straw was the worst Wonton noodle in soup my family remembers having. Clearly there was a problem with the meat in the wonton. However, forget saying a word if something goes wrong. You will be ignored or made fun of. Don’t despair there are plenty of other good choices nearby.
4 meats with rice! Delicious Dish is simple but full of flavors, pork is sweet, barbecue duck, delicious chicken and crispy slices of pork also. All meats are tender, I am not a big fun of duck but the taste of this one is really good. Price is very reasonable, actually you can share a dish. Staff is kind, this place could be very crowded but absolutely worth the wait.
I was really hungry which may have influenced my opinion. I took 20 mins to get my order placed. I ordered Crab and sweet corn soup to start and roast duck with veg as main. Main arrived quickly, but starter didnt arrive until i was halfway through main. Food was ok although duck seemed more boiled than roasted and veg was in a thick slimy type sauce. Also this place isnt licenced so no beer. Overall food was average but experience was poor. Sorry
Have been going for >5yrs. Best authentic cafe style Chinese food in B'ham, fast and no nonsense service. Regular eater of the the three roast.
Busy and bustling and good food. Staff are busy and service is a bit raw but not an issue. Only issue is the fact they willingly distribute plastic straws with drinks despite the law being clear that restaurants can only provide plastic straws if a customer explicitly requests them which is definitely not the case. Restaurant please stop using plastic straws.
