Henry Ison & Sons Funeral Directors

Our father’s funeral was managed with care by Henry Ison and ran without any hitches or problems. Family and friends commented afterwards that it was a ‘lovely send-off’. Elizabeth was extremely patient with us as we developed the Order of Service. We wanted a celebration of dad’s life, so took out words such as ‘eulogy’ and ‘order of service’ so it all felt very bespoke. To ensure that all the family were happy with the plans, there were changes along the way to what we had originally agreed with Elizabeth, but she accommodated our changes without any fuss. We must have driven her to distraction wanting the line-up of the text and pictures ‘perfect’, but with her help we achieved just what we wanted, and she made sure that we were happy with everything at each step of the way. Dad would have loved his send off – the music and feel of the service was a mixture of sad reflection at losing a generous, lovely man with joyful memories of who he was. Elizabeth was conscientious and considerate and gave us good advice without being bossy! The drivers and those attending the funeral were kind and professional, stopping up the road at dad’s mum and dad’s old house on the way for a moment’s pause. If it is possible to have a ‘nice funeral for a loved one’, then I think we had that - Henry Ison made the experience seem uncomplicated and respectful, and we were grateful for their care. Elizabeth from the Kenilworth branch has been extraordinary in every sense possible. She has gone beyond her duties to ensure that everything regarding my dads funeral arrangements including my personal issues were dealt with in a professional yet a compassionate way! Good people still do exist that's a fact. Words can not comprehend how she has helped me at this time of grief. She takes your situation as her own and it's amazing. You are simply an angel on earth. Thank you for everything you have done for me i will forever be grateful.

The funeral and cremation of my mother was handled with sympathy and kindness. Elizabeth kept in regular contact and kept me informed at every stage. Everything was handled effectively and professionally throughout.

Elizabeth in the Kenilworth office left no stone unturned when she arranged Ann's cremation and service for us. Her kindness and understanding were phenomenal and her attention to detail ensured that she organised everything so that all went as we wanted on the day. We would like to thank everyone involved in our father's funeral particularly to Elizabeth who was so very very helpful..nothing was too much trouble..Elizabeth is a true professional and without her help and organisation it would not have run so smoothly...the whole funeral was lovely ..i would recommend them to anyone..
