We decided on an impromptu visit last Saturday as a family afternoon out... The large green, overlooking the beautiful river, is a beautiful setting for a picnic and family fun playing ball/frisbee. It really is a great feeling to look out and see the view with so many like minded families doing the same. We decided to make the visit a bit special and hired a little motor boat, which was expensive but a good experience. Finished up with an ice cream for our daughter and a play in the kids park - great day out and we'll be back for more of the same soon! England at it's best! One warning is that parking is very limited by the river but if no spaces there, I think there is other parking in the town....
