Really good quality meals. I can highly recommend the big breakfast. Its cooked to perfection and never fails to satisfy. Great milkshakes. Friendly service. Cash only but there is a cashpoint outside if you need it. Definitely recommend. We visit here everytime we come to Betwys. Ignore the negative reviews. We all have a bad day but in my 20 visits we've never had bad service or a bad meal and i drive over 200 miles for their breakfasts.

No matter what I write regarding the Hen Sion it will never improve the attitude, the food, or the customer service, as their is very little competition. Their greed is Consistent with amount of chips one receives for the amount of money (£2.40) I thought I may have to a take a second mortgage out to cover the cost of a very below catering Fare. True the chips are greasy, the fish I received had managed to escape back into flowing river, even with a mountain of batter on it`s back. As for the local guide who posted a review, well lets put it this way I would not let him guide me anywhere near Dick Turpin`s Highway Chippy, he is local and biased and being very supportive,( I bet he gets Big Portions and discounts) I do not buy into this ideology it is seasonal and they have to maximise their profits by ripping off the Public`s hard earn money. They do not give a hoot how they are perceived, what they churn out, and how much it cost.(supply and demand) yea, yea, heard it all before, just greedy little fish fryers who think nothing of charging £7.90 for 14 chips and a bland chilli, £2.50 for a pie, it was not even a Hollands Pie. What the village needs is a proper chippy, a fish fryer with passion who is prepared to invest in the Public`s love affair with Fish and Chips, staff who will smile without farting, staff who will not use their mobiles while overseeing frying duties.

Just had a fish and chip shop meal there. The chips tasted extremely greasy, fish was almost non-existent and greasy. The food has gone downhill compared to years ago. We are here every year will never go in there again. Not very friendly either.

Terrible Service by Staff, Terrible Food and Charged an Extra $2.50 per person to sit INSIDE!... total rip off towards tourists.
