Pleasant walk on pathways around lake, although a little slippery in places, however the Water park are not responsible for the weather.n£3 for car park, also you can purchase food for feeding ducks.nCafeteria has a selection of refreshments including cheap alcohol- strongbow 3.40 a pintnLots of seating at enclosed outdoor area.nPedalos for hire. Sandy beach areas.nAppears to be a lovely place.nSignposting to find the place is poor to say the least if you don’t know the area

A beautiful park surrounding two lakes, well stocked with ducks, Canada Geese and wildlife, both available for fishingnnThe larger lake has an open sanded beach style play area, which is ideal for families with children/dogs to play and enjoy picnics especially in the warmer weather.nnThe enclosed adventure play park is currently closed.nnTowards the end of busy hot days the litter bins can become overloaded, but mainly the park is kept clean & tidy. nnPersonally I don’t think the water looks appetising enough to swim in, but hoards of kids do enjoy cooling down by splashing around especially in the hot weather…‍nnThe spacious waterside cafe has bar facilities including a large kiddies soft play zone to enjoy sitting indoors. There is also plenty of wooded seating outdoors over looking the lake, amongst well stocked beautiful flower beds/baskets, which is very popular in the summertime.nnHearty carvery lunches are reasonably priced and available Wednesday & Sundays, to eat-in or takeout. Also a snack bar is open along with a well attended ice cream van in nice weathernnThe larger lake now has around 8 pedlo’s boats for hire, summer 2023 priced @£8 for approximately 20mins.nnThere is plenty of easily accessible parking, with a £3 per car entrance fee on busy days, but mostly free of charge.nnMainly the park offers easy access for wheelchair/buggy access around the clean cafe/toilet area, however it can be more challenging around the walks of the farside of the lake as the path can become slippery/muddy on the sloped parts in wet weather.nnNB. The Warhorse & Tulip fields recently posted onto this site, are actually at Featherstone & Pontefract!
