Lovely park and woodland walk up to the museum. Unfortunately it isn't open every day and on the days it is open its only for 5 hrs in the summer and 4 in the winter. Well worth a visit though.

This is a lovely park with a couple of free car parks, a cafe with toilets inside and a medium sized lake to walk around. There is a great children's play area at one end of the park and at the other end the cafe area has lots of ride on toys for younger children to play on. There are plenty of short walks to take, one of which walks up to Bagshaw Museum which is now no longer open. There are a couple of picnic tables and plenty of other benches around the bowling green. There are also a couple of tennis courts near the cafe. If the weather is good an ice cream van is normally situated near the children's play area. For a medium sized park this is a very good place to visit. If the main entrance car park is full, then look to park at the end near the children's play area. On road free parking is also available. I really like this place, good for all ages.

So lovely that the butterfly house had opened to the public again. Lots of hard work and love has gone it into it. All the events they have been hosting has been fantastic!

Nice park. Lake with ducks and geese. Playground for kids and a nice tarmacked woodland walk. Steep hill though. Gets very busy when the sun comes out

We had a walk round the park and called for a cup of tea and a sandwich but people are bringing their animals in the cafe ( dogs) the lady did nothing to tell owners that animals are not allowed one dog came to our table begging for our food😠this must stop cafe food and drink was good
