Been in twice in the last 2 weeks to renew a child’s passport. Arrived at around 17.30 mid week to be told they won’t do it beyond 17.00 due to going down to 1 staff member. Arrived today, on a Saturday, to be told we don’t do them on Saturdays due to having only 1 staff member!nIt’s very poor service, clearly states online the service is available and opening hours are 06.00-18.00 weekdays and 06.00-17.30 Saturdays. This should mean ALL services are available during this time.nnI wonder if I would be allowed to purchase a stamp or if that’s not possible due to only 1 staff member too?!
I was in a rush to get something sent next day, was served by Sarah and couldn't have asked for better customer service! She quickly found me a solution that fit for everything I needed and was lovely throughout. Thank you!
Got to the branch at 5:16pm to be precise! 5:30pm closing after a busy day I finally found Time to post my pre paid parcel. When I got to the post office got turned away the cashier said they close at 5:30pm and want to be out door on time!!!!! Never mind this would have taken 30 seconds to do!!! Grumpy cashier too!!! Less than helpful.
Visited yesterday to buy a stamp and joined a queue that was pretty much out of the shop! After queuing for 45mins i got to the last stretch of the queue where you could see 2 people serving the customers and 1 sorting parcels. I understand that the parcels need sorting ready to send but when you have a queue that's taking over an hour to get through, priorities need to change and all staff need to work together to get the queue down! At one point someone bought in 2 big bags of parcels which he needed individual proof of postage for whilst another lady was sorting her driving licence application out....both of which were stood at the counter for around 15-20mins whilst the rest of us stood getting restless! After 1hr and 15mins, i was finally served by a very grumpy member of staff but tbh i dont blame her for being grumpy when she had colleagues that weren't bothering to help them!nWhilst stood in the queue, i was able to look at some of the items available in the shop and was pleasantly surprised at some of the items being priced better than other local shops but i ended up being overcharged for these items when i got to the till and told that the ticket prices were wrong! ‍nTheres constantly things in the press about trying to save the post offices but its no wonder people dont want to use them as much if thats the experience that they get when they do visit!
Can be long queues a lot of the time. Well, whenever I go in.
