ABOUT US
Located on the waterfront, Hazev offers an oasis of Anatolian cuisine at its finest in the heart of the financial district.
The stunning venue combines a stylish bar, elegant restaurant and an inviting, quick-serve café and deli – thus allowing us to cater for any occasion. And with the versatility to provide complete venue hire, private dining and a collection/delivery* service, Hazev simply invites you to enjoy...
Hazev is the first collaboration between the ‘Tas’ Restaurant Group and the ‘Haz’ Restaurant Group, who between them control 10 restaurants within Central London. As such, we adhere to the same set of principles that has already made these groups so successful and draw from a wealth of experience that has been accumulated over the last decade.
Our name derives from the Turkish words ‘haz’- meaning ‘enjoyment’ – and ‘ev’ – meaning ‘home’, and in creating ‘hazev’ we hope to provide our guests with a dining experience infused with the comfort and indulgence associated with both.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is simple and assumes a threefold approach.
First and foremost, we aim to offer our guests a taste of Anatolian cuisine at its finest, and to this end we ensure that all of our dishes are prepared daily using the freshest of ingredients, many of which are organic, and only the purest of extra virgin olive oil.
As important as the food we prepare is the setting in which it is served. We see ourselves as a haven of calm in the heart of the busy financial district and try to emulate within our restaurant the air of tranquillity that is already realised by our waterfront location.
Finally, we recognise that fine dining requires the highest standards of service. We strive to offer an unparalleled level, taking care that all of our carefully selected staff maintain our core principles of hospitality, attentiveness and professionalism.
By holding on to the philosophy we value so highly, we fulfil the passion that lies beneath all we do: the passion to provide our guests with a dining experience second to none.

HEAD CHEF
Onder Sahan, CEO of the Tas Restaurant Group, opened his first restaurant on The Cut in 1999. His passion for food was apparent from the outset and his varied dishes and distinctive recipes were instantaneously greeted by excellent reviews.
In the last 11 years, he has opened the doors to a further seven venues throughout Central London, all of which have maintained the same high standards and been met with similar enthusiasm. Hazev is the most recent addition to the group.
Over a career spanning 20 years, Sahan has developed a unique style of his own. The meals remain true to their Turkish origins, however they are lighter, more modern versions of the rich cuisine that the country is renowned for. Fresh seasonal ingredients, distinct aromatic spices and harmonious flavours are his trademarks, with all of his dishes impeccably cooked and beautifully presented.
Throughout this time, he has maintained his passion for cooking and has received a variety of accolades along the way. Sahan has been the head chef and co-owner of Hazev since its opening in 2009 and, with a highly qualified team behind him, continues to excel.

My first visit to this restaurant which was a great experience The food was fresh and delicious with generous portions and very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of seating inside and spacious enough to have privacy. I took away some baklava which was so fresh delicate and delicious. I would highly recommend a breakfast lunch or evening visit.. A fabulous place that can cater to large numbers with amazing food The latte was one of the best along with the Turkish chai my son enjoyed. I will be going back again.
We were new and just visiting Canary Wharf and was spoiled for choices but we chanced upon this Turkish spot along the South Dock and fell in love immediately. We are great fans of Turkish mezzes and it's been months since we had a spread of those and we went in to get some together with raki and it was simply the best! The servers were very polite and accommodating, and regularly check in on us if our orders were satisfying. It is truly a large sprawling establishment but the side we were on was quieter and truly what we needed after a long day treading through the crowded bits of London. Thanks for this and we hope to come again the next chance we visit Canary Wharf!
Excellent restaurant. Good staff, great food. Took my mom here while she was visiting and she loved it as well. We went for the mixed grill and manti lamb meatballs pasta - was delicious! The bread was also excellent and they replenished it for free. The food is also halal which was great. They made one small mistake with switching out the couscous with bulgur but they quickly gave us an extra portion on the house. will definitely be back again. Bonus there was free parking on the road nearby, 5 mins away. Dietary restrictions: They serve halal food. Parking: Depending what time you go - you can find free street parking or you can pay. You can also park a 5 - 10 mins walk away at Waitrose canary wharf car park. If you spend a 10er in Waitrose you get 2 hours free on a weekday and 3 hours free on a weekend. Costs a 5er otherwise.
Great location, awesome food, stunning service, reasonably priced, just a great evening out all round. We all ate a lot more than we planned to, but the restaurant team were extremely accommodating with menu changes and also with prayer space. It felt like visiting friends...Food: 5/5
We was 4 people altogether and I can say I was not pleased with the service and the food. The prices were reasonable for the area, nothing to say about that all no problem but one of the waiters that took our order did not take my allergies seriously at all which I think is a big problem. I could of have a serious reaction, very dangerous and risky. I kindly asked him at the start if there is any Onions inside the Lamb shish dish for any sides such as salad or rice or anything else and he said no. Turns out there were onions inside the couscous salad. Maybe he did not know there was any onions inside the couscous salad but he could have at least written a note on the system that there is an allergen such as this etc etc. Other than that the other waiter which I think was the manager, took my plate and came back with chips on the side. But until that all came back the food was absolutely cold. A discount could have been made or service charge was expected to be taken off but none of that was taken into consideration either. We will not be back.
Restaurant is located next to the Hilton Hotel and just opposite canary wharf offices. The service was really good, as we had a kid with us they also provided a kids menu and took time to answer any questions regarding the menu. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty, I will definitely return again.Food: 5/5
Loved it. Perfect portions, fair pricing, it’s the quality for me I’ve got stir-fry ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and my partner had mixed grill.Food: 4/5
Good Turkish food restaurant, not your typical kebab place at all. Food is fresh and tasted good. Service was nice and friendly. Variety of meats on the mixed kebab was slightly under whelming but what was on the plate tasted nice. The starter selection was very good. Different breads would have made it perfect. Organic watermelon just tasted amazing, their own brand - they should get that into the supermarkets. Venue is nice, near the water but not really an outside space. A missed opportunity. Only reason it's not 5 stars is it's very pricey.
We happened apon this ggem on our first night in London. We are from Albuquerque, NM USA and not familiar with Turkish food. The staff here was very welcoming and answered all of our questions about the menu. The food was the most delicious food we had all week! We went back to their Cafe for breakfast and it was also sooooo good. Thank you! Try this place, you will not be disappointed!!! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian and vegan options
I recently had a wonderful dining experience at Hazev Restaurant Canary Wharf. The dishes were delicious and served in good portions, while the menu offered a great variety of options along with a good selection of alcohol choices. The baklava for dessert was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, although there was a minor delay in the arrival of our main courses. Overall, it was a great experience that I highly recommend.
