I have fond memories of visiting this restaurant frequently in my youth, drawn in by the delicious food. Last week, I decided to revisit, but I was left disappointed with my meal. The chicken was dry, and the salad seemed to be lacking in quality, missing the pomegranate sauce that used to be a highlight. The Lamb shish was descent. While the service was decent, the chicken no longer had the tenderness and moisture I remembered. Additionally, they only accept cash payments. Parking: There is free parking on the side roads after 5:30 p.m.
My favourite Turkish food place. I always order the shish special 2 platter via just eat. Food is great & always delivered on time.Food: 5/5
Mix shish with rice, bread and salad. Food was pretty good. Rice was really nice though it didn’t taste like traditional Turkish rice. Service: service was ok, the man over the phone was a little impatient when taking the order and wrote down the wrong door number. My neighbours pointed delivery driver to my home.
Food: 5/5 the mix grill Shish Special 3 was plenty for 3 adults and there was left over. The meat, chops, ribs and the chicken pieces were beautiful tender and tasty . Service: 4/5 the waiter showed us the table, took the order and gave the glass for the drinks, gave the warm bread with condiments and forgot about the drink which we had to remind him and that was it, he left us in peace and not checking if we wanted anything else or not. Atmosphere: 3/5 the place was tidy but could have been much more pleasant in regards to the cleanliness and WC. Probably needs a fresh liquor of paint.
Turkish restaurant run by Bangladeshis. Ordered x4 ‘grilled’ chicken wings, x4 naga wings and rice. NEVER RETURNING again. - Very poor customer service waiter looked like he didn’t know what he was doing and he nor the manager apologised for the oily ‘grilled’ wings. MISERABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL staff. - FOOD was poor quality: stiff chicken wings like they were leftovers from two days ago. Salad and naan bread was a nice touch though. - ATMOSPHERE: dinghy basement. Kitchen is in front of the tables so you can hear the noise. Overall, I had a terrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend coming here to anyone but maybe you’ll catch them on a good day and be fortunate unlike me and the other people. Dietary restrictions: They probably won’t tell you about allergy information.
Never Dine in! I don't know what happens to the chef/restaurant when you eat in, but the food taste better when you do a take away. Ordered a half chicken and rice for Ramadan and it tasted horrible. The chicken was bland and undercooked and the orangy paste stuff on top of the chicken was disgusting, raw, and left a bad after taste in your mouth. It was a horrible experience. I don't know why but when you do a take away it taste much better...
I got here every friday for half chicken with chips or rice and its amazing! I been coming for almost 3/4 months every friday without a miss and i can tell u the half chicken hot is the best!Food: 5/5

Wasn't the best place to eat, however it may good for some quick takeaway best to order over phone and collect. It didn't seem like hygiene was a priority for them see images. None of the waiters even smiled but the food was fairly quick to arrive. In between waiting for the food, salad and bread was served. None of the meals come with drinks not even kids meals. I may come back to try their grilled chicken for take away only.
The food is delicious and very spacious. Try the half chicken with rice/fries. They are the best. Staffs can be little more friendly. The best part of the turkish food is the starter they always give it for free Naan- Bread, Salad and chilli dip to be honest that is way better than the actual ordered food. They have large seating area in the underground-but no access to wheelchair. Party size can be pre-booked. They only accept cash at the time of review so prepare to have cash to avoid disappointment.
This was my 3rd time dining in the Shish, the food at the beginning when I visited, I found the food was different and nice. The atmosphere is not really nice. The customer service was really good at the beginning from one of the waiters. But this time they got my friend’s order wrong, and they rectified it by not charging us for the drinks, which was not bad!. When it came to the bill, we were told to go upstairs and pay. However, one of them stopped us, as we made our way upstairs, in a way they made us feel like we were running away without paying. But, we were just following orders, and that’s how we paid there previously. It was a disgusting service, we are never going back there again.
