Joined this surgery but before covid, been wonderful in every aspect of my need and also after having my two children during this time it was even more convenient for me when meeting with the midwifes :
Went for a appointment with Dr Oluwatosin Romiluyi yesterday 28th March at 3.25 felt very at east as I always feel anxious going to doctors, he was very thorough, thoughtful and compassionate and listened which I think is the most important
I had an appointment today with Dr Gigi, she was absolutely amazing. She had great energy, listened to everything, was super professional, and explained things nicely. I can’t honestly say thank you enough!
Really poor service, appointment system awful and sometimes don’t bother to contact you back. Think they want you to self medicate so will be looking for a practice that care about their patients.
Here we go, doctors excellent, nurse practitioner excellent, reception staff brilliant, however I was referred to a physio, got the message whilst sat at Manchester airport so immediately rang to explain the situation was told that I would be re-listed because I couldn't attend, sorry to all at haxby for taking a holiday and the inconvenience this causes, I have no idea how long I will be waiting now, very unhelpful lady, please listen to the recording to prove what happened. Received an appointment to see a doctor today for Thursday still on holiday
I have just moved to this surgery and I really dont understand the bad reviews. I thought the care and service I got was brilliant compared to my old GP surgery on the Avenues in Hull. I got through almost straight away, they said I would have a telephone appointment that morning and when they called they then booked me in for a face to face that afternoon. The GP was very good. She booked me in for bloods the next day and scheduled another appointment in a few weeks. I'm definitely pleased I have moved to this surgery.
The whole haxby group is absolutely appalling!! 4 weeks to wait to actually get a time and date for an appointment is absolutely unacceptable!! Which then could be weeks down the line…so many people will be delayed in getting a potential diagnosis for things they think are non urgent but actually are! This needs to change and fast!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!
Amazing GP, Dr Daniel Gilby is an amazing doctor, very helpful and got to the route of my medical issues fast, highly recommened GP.
Absolutely awful. You can read on but just find another GP surgery as you will not get any help at this one. Very long wait for an appointment that I feel the need to book an appointment for 2 weeks time just in case I am sick. Dropped off a request from am educational psychologist in January for a referral. Rang them in March. Letter lost. Took another one asking for someone to review urgently. Waiting for a month. Chased them up. Nothing done. Really not happy. I would not recommend them to family or friends as I am sure there are much better surgeries out there, especially where your not waiting for 2 weeks for an appointed and where they see people instead of just patients. Do yourself a favour a d stay well away from this surgery. This is a further update in June 2023. I have had to now resort to going with private Spire diagnosis and treatment due to me getting no help or support from this surgery except for painkillers again for something I have had an issue with for well over a year and getting worse. They dont care. I sent a complaint in months ago, nothing. I have now sent a further complaint in and will definitely be chasing this now as this whole thing is unacceptable and not fair to patients not getting the help we deserve. They are going to cause someone serious issues or worse by not doing what they promised to do when they became doctors.
Been with Haxby since they opened on Kingswood and always had problems with them. Only one doctor has actually pushed to help me with my main health problem and that’s been within the last yearafter chasing it up for basically 25 years. Now, it took over a month to get my son booked in for his 12 week vaccinations; he’s now 16 weeks old. I received a reminder this morning followed by a cancellation text. They lecture you on why the vaccinations need to be so far apart yet mess you around when trying to get booked in. Think it’s time to look at different surgeries as Haxby have become a joke and have no care for their patients, personally feel they should close their doors since they can’t keep the appointments they give you or mess you around when trying to get an appointment.
