About

We serve up to seven real cask ales and our food menu has some excellent choices - we've even got some bedrooms! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Story

At Haworth Old Hall, West Yorkshire, guests are welcomed by the Tudor charm and warm atmosphere with beautiful open log fires and friendly customer service from the moment you walk in.

Steeped in history, the pub, dining room and bed and breakfast is one of the oldest buildings in the village dating back to 1580.

Set amidst stunning countryside at the foot of the moors, much of the Tudor charm and atmosphere has been preserved and the historical village of Haworth, with its cobbled streets and timeless houses, is one of the most popular destinations for people visiting the Pennines.

A seasonal menu, created using local produce, is served alongside seven real ales on tap and an extensive wine list.

An idyllic location to relax, eat great food and drink, Haworth Old Hall also offers 4-star en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation making it ideal for those visiting the Bronte Parsonage and the steam railway.

Friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful building with lots of character. A great selection of alcoholic beverages. I enjoyed my halloumi and veg skewer with flat bread and found it tasty and filling. However my friends that had pie said it was lacking in filling and the mash and veg were in short supply. They were still hungry after eating it. Wouldn't have been enough for my husband! Overall a good evening though. Vegetarian options: Halloumi and veg skewer was tasty and filling.
Loved our stay at the Old Hall! The rooms were cozy and comfortable, the pub fare was excellent and local, the location is right at the quaint cobble stone street that leads you through lovely Haworth. We were greeted by Gemma and Bill upon check in, enjoyed delicious steak & chips at the pub and joined Quiz Night our first evening. It was so fun and welcoming playing and chatting with the locals. If you want an authentic and warm Yorkshire experience, we highly recommend the Old Hall. The location was perfect but it’s the staff who made this place so wonderful. We would absolutely stay here again.
Called in on a Monday visit in howarth. The building is grand and has history inside didn’t disappoint. We ordered food and just had soft drinks but there did seem to be plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and service was great. Really enjoyed our afternoon lunch will recommend and visit again when in the area. Thanks
Had a lovely impromptu dinner here! We have passed here a few times then gone to the Main Street and ended up eating elsewhere but I’m glad we came in walking was an issue afterwards due to being so full the staff were attentive and made sure we felt welcome. The food we had was really nice it didn’t look like a lot on the plate but the richness of the food certainly it’s enough! Parking is available as I believe they have hotel/bnb also! The decor is lovely and a lot of the original features kept very roomy but also a cozy feel to it!
We booked our meal for eight people, received the confirmation, but on arrival a member of staff assured us we did not have a booking. After presenting our booking receipt we were shown to our table and all of our pre-ordered meals were provided. Shame our visit started on a low note, but the rest of the experience was fine.Food: 5/5
Staff very welcoming, friendly and ultimately apologetic…much of the food unavailable and the descriptions in the menu a little lacking. The food that was available was hit and miss, cheese pie was nice but anything with chicken was bland and overcooked. Gammon, again very dry. Desserts much better but the sundaes were served in a half pint tankard which made half of the contents over flow. All in all, wouldn’t return.
The surroundings were lovely, but I did not like it when people were standing around just drinking not far from where we were sat. I do think the eating area should be kept separate from the bar area, we were sat down by the fireplace and people were stood opposite us in the gap between seating areas, and bringing stools to sit on. This rather spoilt the ambience of the evening. I also am intolerant to garlic and was very surprised to find garlic in the Chicken, Cider and Mushroom pie. The pie looked delicious and no mention of garlic in the description of the pie on the menu, so disappointing to find when I opened it I could instantly smell garlic. I requested to swop this for another pie, that also had garlic in it, so I asked for the Hunters Chicken to be told the BBQ sauce also had garlic in it. You need to add these ingredients to the menu description as these can really affect some people and make them ill. Overall the meal was good for everyone else, my chicken without sauce was a bit dry, and I had to eat on my own as everyone else had finished. The staff were apologetic but after going back and forth numerous times to clarify if the dishes had garlic in them, and my delay in getting my food, nothing was offered as a discount for my inconvenience, or a free drink or coffee which I found quite disappointing. Update your menu descriptions please and we may well return again because the place itself is an amazing venue. Thank you and any feedback would be appreciated.
Just been for Christmas Lunch Wow!! What an experience!! Everything from the service to the excellent food. I was part of the Mooney family and we have enquired regarding next year for Christmas Lunch where we hope to have a big family get together. Special mention to Eloisethink I have spelt it right she was excellent. Well done guys thoroughly enjoyed it
We chose to come here for Christmas lunch this year, the food was absolutely delicious! After an experience at a different establishment for Christmas Day, I told my husband to expect quite the wait for dinner. I was surprised to be seated and served in under 20 mins. This was exceptionally surprising given the amount of people to be served for the same sitting. The staff were very attentive and worked very hard. I have to say, the whole experience felt very good value for money. Everything was cooked to perfection and we didn’t feel rushed. We will definitely be returning again.
Very good food with a variety of gluten free options. Service was friendly and efficient couldn't have asked of more. Nice atmosphere in pleasant surroundings.
