Had a fault on my Volvo S90_Diesel_2017 "Parking Brake not fully released', Volvo Warranty assistant helped me straight away, arrived within 30min, gave me another car from Sunday till Thursday to drive to work. Thought that rear left electric parking brake motor failed, but actually Volvo confirmed, that this is a factory fault. Basically problems with the rear parking wiring and connectors. They found water ingress. Connectors MUST be IP65 rated or higher, but probably somewhere connectors are not fully sealed, or probably factory made IP50 rated instead of IP65 or IP68, who knows, somebody made a huge mistake, probably in the design team, Volvo QC inspection can investigate this issue now... Somebody needs to pay a better attention, when designing wiring for this car, this car only 2 years old-23k miles and came up with this problem, what's next? Of course disappointing, but it is what it is. Anyway, they said that: they replaced parking braking wiring, both motors OK, eliminated problem within 4 days. It's a bit strange why they didn't gave me any repair/report document??? Anyway we will see what happens in the future. Happy and friendly staff. All the best. ......................................................... 11 months later, drove 30k miles in total, today is 8th of January 2021 and snowing outside, 1 celcius outside and my car started showing something new, surprise again, 3 years old car, come on Volvo. I don't want to criticise, but this is unacceptable ‍. Randomly showing 3 different faults: 1.Tyres pressure system temporary unavailable 2. Parking brake temporary unavailable 3. ABS sensor unavailable. 4. City safety reduced functionality ............................... If I understand correctly all 3 faults connected together, like a "chain", because all 3x faults sometimes dissappear when I'm driving on the motorway. When gets cold, showing all 3x faults again, specially in the morning, when -2c. Sometimes showing City Safety reduced functionality... Anyway connected with computer, showing rear left ABS sensor open circuit. So my conclusion is: First "hand brake fault" rear left, which I had 11 months ago, Volvo said that they've replaced all new connectors and wiring , this sounds like a lies to me, because this is exactly same fault "rear left wheel" again, just showing different faults this time. Probably corrosion or bad connection somewhere I believe, who knows. I need to lift this car up one day and check if they've replaced all rear wiring and connectors definitely, but I don't think so, probably just cleaned and left it how it is... Oh well, let's enjoy random faults for now, looks like a Christmas tree on my dashboard... we will see what happens next. Driving all week now, +2 celsius outside and all faults disappeared permanently again, mystery...looks like all faults reacting to the cold -1c up to -4c. I will add more info later. ..................................................... 21st of February 2021, checking car, rear left: Disconnected plug from ABS speed sensor and "voila". As I said previously, connectors are very badly made and wobbly, no way it's IP68 rated, found water and corrosion inside, that's shocking! 3 years old car, come on. I'm not sure if Volvo making these connector or another company, but I know for a fact, this is unacceptable and Volvo should replace all them to a better ones, IP68 free of charge! I realy hope somebody takes this into account seriously and takes some actions. You can check ABS speed sensor with an analogue scope, should show "transistor trace" if sensor is OK, check picture below.
Best experience we ever had buying a car. Emma and Craig are absolutely brilliant and very professional. Couldn't wish for a better service. Most helpful, generous and knowledgeable Volvo dealer we ever had to deal with. We felt very welcome and looked after! Highly recommend. 10 stars!!!
Had a new key made and re-programmed, expensive, but considering the time spent on the job worth the cost. They also did a health check on the engine and electrical/electronic systems which was unexpected, completely free of charge. Great service, very efficient. And great looking at the new models in the showroom.
Cannot Thank Matt & Rob enough for the help and expertise with my Volvo tonight. Nipped in late afternoon Saturday but no technicians available so Matt said to call back during the week. Went tonight and was seen within minutes. Sidelight has gone off and wanted a bulb found out it needs a whole new headlight as it's all in one but they told me what I needed to do and what options I have. 2 really friendly and helpful lads. Made the whole visit painless and their Customer Service skills are top notch. Thanks lads.
Visited to day and was very surprised after reading some of the reviews. These seemed misplaced as I looked around the cars for sale and was impressed. A really good example of today's line up of Volvo. Went inside and was warmly welcomed by the lovely lady behind the desk. Had a chat about the s60 they had in, on my way across to the servicing department where I had an appointment at 1. Seen prompt and with a very good greeting. Great service and a friendly and pleasant visit would recommend them. No hard sell tactics just great friendly staff and managers
Disgrace trying to charge £100 for a simple change of Volvo on call ownership. I rang another Volvo dealership who advised it was a five minute process and there would be no charge. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for servicing as it’s clear from my initial call that I will be nickel and dimed at every point!
Called to the show room today to look for XC90, none available to see. We asked the sales lady who was completely uninterested we asked what year we're the cars outside her answer "I dobt know" great response from a sales person. Have now left and gone to Preston maybe they'll be more helpful.
We dealt with Hatfields Bury several months ago to purchase a new XC40 that our local dealer was unable to supply at the time. All staff were friendly and helpful and very informative. Can't thank Chris Hardy enough for the time and energy he put into finding the car we wanted within our budget and a tight time scale. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, answering all our questions in a timely manner. We dealt with Chris by telephone and email as we live a few hours drive away. He was always friendly and responsive and as a result we felt confident buying a car remotely from Hatfields Bury.
I recently took my car here to have sensors fitted. Great service - dealt with Nicola and then another really helpful receptionist. I'd tried another dealer before hand - never got back to me. Job was done in the exact time frame quoted and at a reasonable cost. Really impressed.
Bought my car here, ex-showroom. Love my car but really regret using this place. Awful customer service. Really long waits, then when they call you to collect, they had yet to give the car a wash and we had to wait a further HOUR! They really need new staff here, and to learn how to treat customers as if they would like further business!!
