Myself and my fiance stopped here for a spot of lunch. The pub was quiet when we walked in but it was only just gone 12 noon. The menu was extensive with all of the usual pub classics and a few different dishes. The meal wasn't anything special and for the price was acceptable. There is plenty of parking, outdoor seating and a smoking area. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of beverages and I would recommend a visit if you are looking for a meal in a relaxing atmosphere.
The separate areas indoors and out doors, spacious, great for kids, big restaurant, smaller bar area if you want to watch sport on tele, large undercover area with festoon lighting, massive garden, kids chalkboards, climbing frame, mud kitchen, even a little scooter track! And the food was absolutely delicious, and I thought it was VERY reasonably priced. I will return with the family, well worth the travel time.
Dropped in for lunch, and was quite quiet, though it was midweek. A varied menu with mostly main meals. A very small selection of lunchtime options was a little disappointing. I had a steak sub with onions which was well cooked and very tasty. I'd visit again as overall the food was good, staff were pleasant and polite and the establishment is clean.
Met up with friends in pleasant surroundings. Enjoyed drinks from a wide selection of beers and lagers, served by friendly staff. Ordered "communal" food chicken wings, fries etc. This arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. Sport was on a silent TV so the blokes could keep up to date with the footy/rugby. Great afternoon. What's not to like!
Beautiful Christmas dinner last night. Fresh veg which is always a winner with me personally. Gorgeous turkey, potatoes and gravy was so tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Allowed us to walk in, sit down and ponder the menu before we ordered. Only after we ordered they came and told us that the kitchen closed at 6pm. Nowhere on the website does it state this. No signage anywhere. Instead of asking if we still wanted drinks they cancelled the entire order for refund. I will not return here again.
Went for a meal yesterday with my husband and our oldest grandson, it's been a very long time since we had any half as nice when eating out absolutely loved it
Lovely meal. The gammon was about as next level as you could get it. Addition was being able to watch the football too. Will be visiting on my next visit to Doncaster from the North East
My son was at a private party today so me & my daughter went for lunch, the food was very nice & arrived very quickly, however my peppercorn sauce was missing, I went to the bar which was rather busy, I'd been waiting a while & my food was getting cold so I said excuse me to a barstaff to be told rudely 'I'm busy serving' so I went & sat back down quite annoyed, when we'd finished our plates were cleared so I asked for my daughters ice cream, 20 mins later no ice cream so we left, food good & would recommend, service needs improvement
On every occasion 5 the kitchen has had missing menu items.... More than 1, generally half a dozen or more. Food we did have was ok, fairly average for this kind of venue. Iceland quality, Hilton price. All in all fairly inoffensive as a family tea but little else. Outdoor area is pleasant.
