I've bought a dinning table set + a corner sofa from harveys after 4 months waiting for deliver the items came both came damaged including actual known damaged from the warehouse red arrows the engineer said changes in Temperature will make all the base to open up. Really upsetting experience when you are getting stuff for your first house
Not impressed with the quality or workmanship of the suite we bought. The first one arrived in March, minus the sofa and one of the chairs was broken. The sofa, to my knowledge, is still missing in the warehouse!!!! The replacement suite arrived in August, not sure how it got past quality control, now waiting for them to come and collect it, angry doesn't cover how I feel especially after the appalling treatment by their customer service
Absolutely awful. We have ordered a total of three sofas from Harveys since February over two orders and had issues with both. The first order was for a sofa for our kitchen which was quoted as being available within 4 weeks, it arrived in 8. We had been told that there would be a partial refund available due to the lateness however 7 weeks later we have received nothing. Our second order for two sofas was due at the end of March 4 Weeks, however the sales assistant did advise with her experience it would likely be two weeks after this. Having progressed the delivery on the 16th of April we are now being told it will be end of May due to the factory running out of a roll of material. The fact that nobody had told us this in March prior to us calling suggest that it is all a sales tactic to get your order. Factories do not run out of rolls of materials on the day you ring up. They have stock management systems in place to make sure this does not happen, or should do. And even if they did run out the the original lead time even from the 16th of April would still not be the end of May! We've had no sofas in our living room now for nearly two months and are 6 weeks away from the revised lead time which I am not confident will be met. We requested the possibility of temporary sofas in the meantime, a week later and we still have not had a call back. Shocking service.
Everything post sales is below the worst possible standard you can imagine. Didn't deliver on the day they organized. When it was eventually delivered, we discovered damage to every piece of furniture. The worst thing is the customer service. And I doubt they even care if you give them a bad review or not.
Please please don't waste your time or your money! Even the delivery drivers say that Harveys are delivering the wrong stuff "every single day". I'm currently reviewing what my consumer rights are as I don't trust them to treat me fairly at all. Ordered a sofa and two loveseats back in September, specifically to be delivered before Xmas. Delivered my two loveseats fine, but the sofa was the wrong fabric. Got told the right one would be made again, to be delivered in the new year. I've called countless times, not once have I recieved any of the calls I've been promised, found out the invoice wasn't even created till march when I'd called again, got delivery 11th April of again A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COUCH different size, make, colour, everything. Now chasing again and not recieving phonecalls back they want to see photographic evidence from delivery drivers that they've delivered the wrong stuff, apparently my word means nothing. 7 months so far.... Sickening!! Don't believe the high ratings on here, they thrust a Review tablet at you in store before anything can go wrong.
I spent nearly £3000 on a leather recliner suite. Got delivery date, it didn't appear. Oh it got put in the wrong van. Got another delivery date, Oh we don't know what happened. After a few phone calls got told that we already got it delivered? Got CCTV in my road so I can prove I never received it. They're always going to phone back but never do. Going down tomorrow and if they're still saying I have received it i'll go to the police cos obviously someone is corrupt. Going to put it in the paper as well. Staff a total waste of time. No one knows anything.
Ordered Dining table and chairs way back in January .. finally received notification of expected arrival date of Goods .. rang and was given today’s date for delivery ... received four txt messages on Tuesday 2 April confirming delivery of goods today . Waited in all Day , nothing arrived . Rang Customer Services to enquire where my order is only to be told at 18.40 pm that no delivery will be taking place today as the delivery date has been put back to April 20 .. I have received no notification of this change . I am now left with no dining room furniture ... I will never use Harvey’s again ...
Called to say my sofa was out for delivery so I disposed of my old sofa. Gets to the middle of the day and call to say I’m nipping out, only to be told sorry we’ve made a mistake and your sofa is lost. Took two weeks to finally deliver. Shocking company, liars. Will never ever use again.
Bought dining table and chairs spending over 1000.00 eventually came base of table couldn't be put together as holes didn't match phoned store to be told no manager in till 11 am following day and customer service closes at 5.30 this is one week before Christmas and today is my only day off work quality control and customer service is a complete joke
Bought a three seater suite and two seater under two years and frame that is made of plywood has collapsed. Independant assessor said he has not seen a plywood frame before. After six weeks still waiting for repair. Part arrived and fitter said it wad inadequate. I wanted a replacement but was declined. Financial Ombudsman have not been any help. I think a £3000 suite should be made of solid wood. I will never buy from Harveys again. I am a pensioner so cannot afford a solicitor. What does a guarantee mean these days.
